The menus does NOT have any signs that any item is GF. That said, the server was able to tell me what was available or could be made gluten free (and dairy free!) . When she started describing the pasta, I told her I avoid GF pasta bc restaurants dunk tge data into the wheat laden water. After consulting the manager, she said they could use a separate pot of water for my pasta. I declined bc I can’t see the kitchen and wouldn’t trust what they said.
I ordered 2 appetizers for dinner and avoided everything else. My mussels came w bread on it even though the server KNEW I wanted my food gluten free. The kitchen didn’t get the message, I guess! I picked the bread out and gave it to my dinner companions to dip in the tasty sauce. I ate the mussels, didn’t get sick. The octopus salad was tasty and fine.
This place can work IF you insist on what you need, with the server and the kitchen. But I wouldn’t call their staff to be particularly sensitive to food allergies.
I had a very positive experience. I mentioned that I have a gluten allergy (not scientifically accurate but everyone knows the word "allergy") and the server asked if I have celiac, which is always a good sign. Said they'd take special precautions and were honest with me that they didn't know if certain foods were safe to eat but explicitly told me what I could have. Food was really tasty, I noticed from comparing my food with what others got that portion sizes are extremely inconsistent across different appetizers and entrees.
