Gone here several times. Food was great.
BUT . . . Several times in, had a severe gluten exposure the last time I went. Vomit and diarrhea for hours (fellow celiacs know the drill). So unfortunate. I always made clear to them that I am a celiac/severely allergic. They came back with the “allergy” label on the food and everything. Not sure what happened this time around.
Sorry Lucy’s, you make a great effort and that may have been an isolated incident (maybe 1 out of a hundred). But mistakes like that, I cannot afford.
Never again.
Staff asked me if gluten-free was an allergy or preference. Ensured that they would alert the kitchen of my gluten allergy. Dish came out, carried by the manager with an allergy tag on it. The manager said that the kitchen prepared my dish in a clean, separate frying pan. I got the farmers market brunch bowl and it was delicious. I did not get sick!
Went here with our family for dinner. Ordered two of the GF apps that were labeled as “GF,” and the waitress told us the chips were fried in a “separate clean fryer.” The cheeseburger was delicious with a garden salad on the side (fries not safe for those with celiac). Manager assured us the burger would be cooked on a grill that has no contact with any gluten-containing food. All of my daughter’s food was delivered by a manager and clearly labeled as “allergy.” Within 15 minutes of eating the apps, she started getting a bad stomach ache and definitely got glutened. We think it may have been the tortilla chips. I’m guessing for a less-sensitive celiac, this place might be a good option!
There’s not a huge number of options, but the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even when it was crazy busy. The steak and avocado salad was amazing, and the chips and guacamole were delicious. They have gf chips that don’t go in any fryer so there’s so risk of cross contamination. The manager brought out my food, and I did not get sick!
They have a number of dishes that are naturally GF or gluten free with a modification. They’re aware of cross contamination. The food was delicious. There was a slight issue with the GF dessert (ice cream). They served me one with cookie dough ice cream, but I caught it and they were extremely apologetic and made it right. I would most definitely go back and recommend it to others.
