Ordered a gluten free pizza for takeout and explained i have celiac. Thankfully, I watched and they used the same paddle to take my pizza from the pan it was on as the regular pizza. They didn't understand the cross contamination when I pointed it out. Thankful, I caught it and asked for a refund ,was looking forward to a local place that was safe for pizza but this was not it. I never actually ate any of their GF food.
If you have celiac disease I would not take the chance on this place. I called ahead to speak with someone, and they assured me that the pizza would be safe. I felt confident from my phone call and began eating the pizza. After one slice, my friend and I started to question if it was a actually gluten free. I tested it with my Nima, and it came up “gluten found”. I did get sick. We called and they apologized, offering to send me a new pizza which I declined.
