Really disappointing, as we like Cosmo’s. Very limited menu. The crab dip was good- lots of crab, but very small. Ordered the shrimp salad- a bowl of lettuce with cold shrimp. Was like the chef dumped out a bag of lettuce and thawed a few shrimp from the grocery store. Kids had burgers, which they liked (no bun) and corn- which was tough, unseasoned, no butter. Our server was unfriendly and not attentive. Definitely will not go back.
Not sure what happened but we unfortunately didn’t have the same great experience everyone else did. Gf options were limited and the taste was just okay. Waiter was clueless about gf. He was an older man, I feel bad, he was sweet but I’m not surprised. Seems like a fun place if you don’t have an allergy.
Out of the limited dining options available it seemed promising. You would probably be ok if you only have a gluten allergy. However, I have a dairy and gluten allergy and could only eat a very small piece of fish. To be left still hungry and spend that price. It’s unfortunate. There also weren’t any allergen markings on the gluten free menu. Almost all gluten free options contained dairy including their honey mustard.
We just recently ate here on vacation and i really enjoyed it. Our waitress seemed very knowledgeable of Celiac disease and was able to answer all my questions. For appetizer I had the Crawfish and artichoke dip and for those with gluten allergies they serve it with carrots and celery. It was absolutely delicious. For an entree I had the catch of the day blackened topped with the crawfish artichoke cream sauce. It was delicious as well. Will definitely visit here again.
My GF shrimp came with fries and my sister's GF pot roast came with bread on it. Not impressed.
Don't say you are GF unless your workers and your kitchen staff are familiar with the allergy!! GF shrimp served on French fries and pot roast with bread on top(!!!!) come on now!!!!!!!! Celiac friendly??? HELL NO
The food was delicious. The staff was happy to answer questions and offer solutions. They offer a few GF fried options but they substitute flour with corn so if you can't have corn it narrows your choices considerably. There may be a "GF" beside a menu item but that doesn't mean you'll get the entire entree. If you are gluten free, they may remove cornbread or anything else that normally comes on the dish which contains gluten. Same price. It was good and I would go back.
Had the fried catfish. Amazing! Plenty of gf options listed on the menu. Just tell your server you have an allergy and they will let the chef know.
