IN CRE DI BLE. I’m celiac since I was born and this place was really safe. I will go again!!
One word. Yes I am gluten free. Well that was four words, but I was excited. Fantastic meal and I think that this might be where I eat the entire time I am in Chicago.
Their menu is clearly marked with gluten free and vegan options! Lots of gluten free options! We had the Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos and the Fish Tacos and both were excellent!
Flatbreads are to die for! SO GOOD
Loved margarita flatbread!!! Never get to have flatbread because of celiac :(
This place is fantastic. Once I told the staff I have Celiac, they explained how they prevent cross contamination. The food is fresh and tasty! Highly recommend. I’m Celiac and Vegan.
The Farmhouse burger w/ a GF bun was one of the best burgers I have ever had!
Great menu options and my child with celiac loved her burger! They seemed to take proper precautions. They had gf cookies that are prepared separately. My only question was the tongs used to get them as I didn't ask if they used them on the non gf cookies. Otherwise, great place to go.
This place has tons of gf and healthy options with nutritional information clearly marked. I eat here all the time and have never gotten sick. Definitely Celiac safe.
Menu has GF selections noted for easy decisions. The staff is knowledgeable and offered me a sample of delicious corn chowder before I ordered it. The salmon was tasty. They have soft GF cookies and delicious drinks. As a Celiac, my taste buds were tickled! Great customer service, great food, and ambiance.
So good!! So many excellent gf options. Fresh and delicious food. The whole family enjoyed!!
loved the fish tacos. the pumpkin donut was excellent.
Great choice of GF items on the menu. Also like the attention to quality ingredients and good nutrition. October 2017, no separate GF menu. Menu has a number of items marked GF. No GF bread was offered for sandwiches- boo! All flatbreads use GF flatbread though. Feel that there is not as much choice now.
The staff was very knowledgable and helpful to ensure a GF experience. They notified the cook to avoid cross contamination. Much of their menu is GF and plenty of selection. Would recommend this casual spot for those suffering from celiac disease.
Daughter has celiac. Spoke with manager and was assured no issue. She knew right away what celiac was. Red flag went up when food delivered to our table as all meals were on the same tray. My daughter really enjoyed her meal but paid for it for two days after as meal had gluten contamination.
Amazing staff, very knowledgeable on Celiac and the gluten free lifestyle. I enjoyed all of my breakfast food and the great atmosphere.
Yummy food, inexpensive, great environment! Wish they had these in Georgia!!!
Really great. Inexpensive for the quality. Felt super safe there.
Best sweet potato fries! Very extensive gf and vegan menu. No issues for celiac!
extensive gluten free menu. excellent tasty organic food menu. no issues for celiac. highly recommend
All of the flatbreads are GF and if you ask for a sandwhich they use the flatbread to make it. I was assured that the GF options were seperately made, just tell them you have an "allergy". Great food and service.
Great burger with gluten free bun, side salad, and some baked sweet potato fries (baked has less chance of cross contamination). I am both gluten and dairy sensitive, and had no problems.
They accidentally served me a burger with a regular bun instead of the gluten free - I questioned it a few bites in and caught a chef on the way by - the manager comped my meal and they remade the burger. We'll see how sick I get, I'm a little apprehensive at this point. But they've been super nice about it. The sweet potato fries were delicious though, and I was enjoying my burger until I realized that the bread seemed too good to be true. LESSON LEARNED: the gluten free items should be specifically tagged when they come out from the kitchen - if not, ask your server to be sure!! In my case the cashier didn't catch/tag that the meal needed to be gf.
I was surprised by how good the food was. Separate GF menu, clean, and good location. I will look for this chain in other areas.
I was with a celiac and shared a meal. Sooooooo tasty with great choices! The staff was helpful and patient! I would recommend this to anyone with taste buds!!!
So good. Great service. Separate gluten free menu made ordering easy and there was a great selection of items. Loved the bar-b-q flatbread.
Best gluten free burger I ever had!!! My friend who is not gluten free got the fish tacos and loved them. Guac is delicious. Loved it so much we are coming back for dinner.
Food was good. Limited menu, which is fine. Our server/cashier did not know what Celiac was and did not readily know which menu items were gluten free. I had checked this site and reviews before I went, so I felt confident, but I had hoped for a more knowledgable staff. I did not get ill at all, and I'm very sensitive.
Gluten free menu Highly recommend the grass fed burger with cheese. The buns hold together perfectly and aren't at all dry. My favorite burger option by far.
the food here is light and healthy with options liked sweet potato fries and flatbreads to satisfy the naughty parts of my brain. the gluten free menu is also extensive and flavorful. best of all, they have complimentary sparking water!
So many options!!!! So many accommodations for food allergies. Will def be my go to place. They have breads buns and flatbreads that are dairy free?!! What the what?
Healthy casual dining with good variety of gluten free items, including gf buns for burgers and sandwiches. Friendly and extremely knowledgable staff.
An absolutely delicious restaurant. Loved the BBQ chicken flatbread and the garlic Parmesan sweet potato fries. The decor is great too. Has vegan options. Has a full GF menu.
I got the margherita flatbread and my sister got the chicken sandwich on a GF bun. The flatbread (which is basically a margherita pizza was absolutely delicious - chewy, flavorful, and crisp on the edges. The bread on the chicken sandwich was pretty crumbly but she said every other part of the sandwich was delicious. Prices weren’t toooo bad considering it’s Chicago and our food was ready really quickly. Also, neither one of us got sick afterwards. Highly recommend!
Delicious food, great staff. They had gluten free cookies! They put the GF cookies on the top tray, so no crumbs from regular cookies would fall on the GF cookies. We got the buffalo cauliflower tacos and baked sweet potato fries - both were amazing!
Though the menu seems limited as to what is listed as GF, be sure to ask about other options as they have gf buns and other items that can be made GF. Staff was knowledge about not just gluten free but the importance for those with us who have celiac, this sint a tad diner. The building was open, bright and clean, bonus in my book. We had Kendra as our server, she was not only at the height of professionalism but such a delight to talk with about any but the restaurant. Every patron seemed happy and engaged with their servers on a more personal level as well, perhaps because this was center of historical tour areas, but regardless of motivation, they are a great example of what good customer interfacing employees should be. Highly recommended, the food was not only pleasing to the eyes, but our taste buds as well. And while I'm not a vegetarian, I ordered a fabulous vegetarian taco plate that left me full (but secretly wishing I had more room, it was so good!)
Terrible. We made sure to inform the employee taking our order that we had Celiac and could not consume gluten. They confirmed that the children’s pasta could be made gluten-free. Another server brought the food to the table and the pasta looked like regular pasta so again I asked if it was GF. The server said it was, and my children begin to eat. A few minutes later, another employee came running out from the kitchen to let us know that it was not GF pasta. My children began crying because they know the effects that gluten has on their body. No one apologized, they just offered to bring us a bowl of Asian-style thin rice noodles instead. I’m not sure how three different employees were unable to catch this mistake at a restaurant claiming to be exceptionally GF friendly.
Fantastic experience overall; the GM Justin was SUPER helpful/knowledgeable/and friendly. I was lucky he was behind the bar. Only one (VERY) minor complaint, which was rectified with a quick phone call; we ordered two sandwiches on GF, and they came made with two tops and two bottoms. Obviously not a problem in and of itself, I just had to clarify we didn't have two types of bun. I will definitely eat here again next time in Memphis. Thanks, Justin!
Got a gluten free meal, but felt gluten side effects about an hour after leaving.
Always a pleasure to eat here. Feel very safe. The tacos were delicious. Food was delivered by someone who confirmed the gluten free status.
My experience was marginal. I ordered abbot on gf bread it came with two pieces of bacon, two pieces of very thin sliced deli turkey two tomatoes with a smattering of lettuce I was really disappointed it was like a giant piece of bread with hardly any filling. They use udis bread in case you're wondering.
Unbelievably I was served and ate a sandwich on a regular sandwich roll not the gluten free as ordered. I always reiterate my order is for a "gluten allergy" so wherever the mistake happened, whomever entered it or prepared my order is an awful employee. Managers were all alerted after the fact, they apologized but nothing to make up for their serious mistake.
Lyfe Kitchen was a lyfe saver during our family weekend vacation to Chicago. Our son was recently diagnosed as celiac and this was our first vacation where he had to eat out 100% of the time. We stayed at the nearby Doubletree and were pleasantly surprised that the Lyfe kitchen was a block away. Our son ate two meals here both were delicious and 100% GF he had no symptoms after eating here. I would say it was a little pricey for the entire family but I really didn't care since he felt great after eating both meals.
Very knowledgeable and accommodating. In addition to Celiac Disease, I have multiple food allergies. They were happy to help me figure out which dishes could work for me with some changes. Tasty and healthy food! No negative food reactions at all!
Menu items clearly marked & several choices. Had BAKED sweet potato fries-yummy & did not gave to worry about oil cross contamination. Also BBQ chicken flatbread was yummy. It is listed as a shareable & was sufficient food for us but could also be entree if you want it yourself
Absolutely delicious, celiac-friendly and good on the wallet.
Super fresh food, lots of GF options compared to most places. Chicken and tofu tacos were wonderful and side salad. Affordable in price as well.
Very celiac safe. Lots of healthy GF options and I love the cucumber mint water too. I've tried many dishes including the flatbread pizza, chicken tacos, and asian tofu with veggies and quinoa. Never sick and always feel great after eating here. Highly recommend!!
We ate lunch here yesterday. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Didn't look at us crazy for all ordering GF. My 3 yo son loved the flatbread. He almost ate the entire thing. My fish tacos were good. Fish was just a little dry. Our 12 yo celiac daughter had the spicy shrimp pasta. She loved it as well. My husband had the Chicken and Avocado Sandwich. Our daughter had no stomach issues. Loved how a great portion of the items are gluten free no matter what like the Shrimp Pasta. Uploaded pictures of our dishes as well. Will visit again soon!
Had a sandwich with great bread and a flatbread that was amazing! Lot of choices.
If you don't like to make a lot of decisions and would like a clean simple breakfast on a weekday this may be the place for you. The menu had 5 choices, two were gluten free.
