Our waitress didn't seem to know anything about GF. They did ask someone (probably a manager or the kitchen staff) about a GF menue to which the answer was no but as long as my wife didn't order anything fried she should be fine. That didn't give us a boost of confidence but she ordered the loaded chicken with baked potato and side salad w/o croutons. I tried their PB&B which, while not bad, seemed to be lacking something (jelly maybe lol). While it wasn't a bad experience, I doubt we'll be back.

We arrived in Abilene too late to cook dinner. The only restaurant listed on this app was pizza and not what we wanted. I called the M & R Grill and was told many of their items can be prepared gluten free.
I had the loaded chicken, a grilled chicken breast loaded with swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. It’s usually served over rice which our server wasn’t sure about so I asked to leave it off. It came with two sides, I selected a side salad and a baked potato. The salad was fresh and very good, the chicken was tender and delicious.
Hubby had the fried chicken breast (not gluten free) and said it was tender and delicious as well. He also had a glass of beer with his meal.
Total bill before tip was $31 and change, a real bargain for the price.
