They don't have a gluten free menu anymore, and the staff isn't always aware of what a gluten allergy is, but by and large they're friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the prices are affordable - we eat at Macayo's frequently and recommend others do the same if they're looking for a gluten free sit-down restaurant.

No longer have a gluten-free menu. Menu items can be made gluten-free, but the food was mediocre at best.

We just ate at the Macayo's at 7040 E Broadway and my husband and I are both sick. We eat Mexican food at least once a week and never have a problem, we have been wheat free for about 4 months now and we were excited to try this place out with their GF menu, NEVER AGAIN!

The staff was so friendly! They have a large gluten free menu and the food was very good as well. We will definitely be back!

Great Mexican I love this place!
Separate GF menu, although when I ordered the fajitas and told them it was for Celiac, they came out with flour tortillas instead of corn. They were very nice and redid the dish and comped that item, but I’m not sure how safe the place is (I’m asymptomatic).

NOT SAFE!! I have celiacs and so I requested and ordered from the gluten free menu, and specifically let the waitress know I was celiac and so I have a gluten allergy. She proceeded to bring me flour tortillas. Upon inquiry she said she did bring flour and I said I can’t have flour— I have a gluten allergy which is why I ordered off the gluten free menu. She said she doesn’t know what that means and she “doesn’t know what’s in tortillas”. She then came back to the table and proceeded to tell me that I must have made the mistake of ordering my CHICKEN FAJITAS off the VEGETARIAN side of the menu, which is why she brought flour. I let her know that it was in fact from the gluten free side and even specifically said “gluten free fajitas” when I ordered, and proceeded to deny that they were available as gluten free. As if would make sense to order chicken fajitas off the vegetarian menu anyway.
