Mad Mex

The food is great however they are not celiac safe. I have celiac and have been going there for months to the point where the servers know me. I've said several times how severe my problem is and that I have celiac. They assured me it was safe. I found out last time I went that their tacos are made in a shared fryer making them no longer gluten free. I was crushed and very angry that no one ever said anything when I repeatedly told them how important it was my food was made safely. I will not be there again

Gluten free options available, but no gf menu in the restaurant. You can only view gf/allergen info on website, but staff has some knowledge and usually works with customers.

I have eaten at other locations without issue but still asked questions. Server was knowledgable and said there was a button she had to push when putting in our order to flag my meal. I ordered the Mad Mex Bare-itto with steak. My meal came out separate from my gluten eating friends. I had no problems and didn't get sick.

I've been going to Mad Mex forever. Their food is amazing. It's hard to order the gf options online unless you do pickup, but ypu can ask for corn tortillas instead of flour on most things.

I'm very gluten sensitive and not fully celiac, and I will eat out of the shared fryer so I can't comment on what that experience is. But I've never had issues when I specify that I can't have any gluten ingredients.

Mad Mex has been a go to for years since I was first diagnosed. Menu isn’t always marked but staff is knowledgeable. Their main gluten item is wheat tortillas and they can easily substitute for corn. Their chips are pre packaged and are safe. I always know this is a safe and delicious place to eat!
