Wonderful and made to order! Trust me that it was very good. I came from the cruise ship went to cable car and took a taxi. I had shrimp scampi and steak with homemade potatoes, salad and it was very tasty.

We cannot recommend Mad Market Restaurant highly enough! Staff were friendly, very knowledgeable and competent with regard to cross contamination. The menu clearly shows GF options, but the waiter also confirmed that many other options could also be adapted to be gluten free. The food was nicely presented and we can honestly say that this was the best meal we have ever eaten out. Also a good range of GF desserts. The restaurant is situated in a shopping centre, so no sea views that tourists often go for, but the restaurant is clean and has a cool, modern feel. We will definitely be returning - the food and service was absolutely exceptional.

Positive experience. Gluten free dishes marked on English menu. Lots of options. Enjoyable food - chicken with lemon served with delicious salad and rice.

Apart from this restaurant, we didn't find any other restaurants where gf options shown. We don't speak Portuguese but we were just about able to make ourselves understood.

Great food, beautiful combination of flavours with a lot of depth. A lot of gluten- and lactose-free options, which are very nice. They have two lovely kinds of poncha, and the passion fruit one is definitely worth the try. Above all: very welcoming staff, who go above and beyond to make sure your food is made gluten-free with care.

Definitely recommend going here, even though their location isn’t fitting with the quality of meals they make!
