Large menu with many GF options. I tried the GF penne in the gourmet mac & cheese. At first the kitchen made a mistake and put regular bread crumbs on top but they quickly remade it for me without bread crumbs and it was tasty. Menu says they have a dedicated GF fryer and cauliflower pizza crust

I visit from out of state multiple times a year, and eat here multiple times per visit, and have never had a bad experience. They have dedicated fryers, are always knowledgeable and accommodating and mention what substitutions I can have. I'm shocked at the poor reviews, as I find this to be one of the only safe places in the area, and I'm a very sensitive celiac who has never gotten sick from a visit here. I also want to point out that those claiming results from Nima sensors should be taken with a grain of salt. Those things are notorious for being wrong, hence why they're not FDA approved, or covered by medical insurance.

After having many, many wonderful GF experience, my visit in July 2022 was not good. Ordered GF chicken strips like I always do. First, it was over an hour wait because “the kitchen made non GF ones first”, then when brought out, gave me the child size portion (for the $20 entree). Then agreed to bring more and they looked VERY different. Clearly a different batter & not appetizing and who knows if GF, I was not going to try them. I know everyone gives the excuse of short staffed….but really disappointed. Given all the great meals I have had there, I will give it another try.

We went to Maggie McFly's in Brookfield on June 16th 2022 because after much research, it seemed safe and they had many GF options. It was our first restaurant since my 9 year old daughter was diagnosed 8 months ago. I informed our waiter that my daughter has celiac disease. They told me they have many gluten-free options for her, so we were very excited to try. Upon ordering her gluten-free chicken tenders and Fries I verified that it was made in a separate area and was cooked in a separate fryer. I also handed them our equal eats celiac disease sticky note to remind them to change their gloves and be extra careful. Unfortunately when her food arrived the chicken tenders tested positive for gluten with our Nima partners sensor. The fries tested safe, and they were both fried in the same fryer...so it had to be a cross contamination.
The waiter and manager were very friendly and apologetic. They offered to make her a hamburger in a seperate pan. Unfortunately that tested positive for gluten too! The manager was stunned and said it must be cross contamination in the plate area since the fries were served in a cup not a plate. He had no idea that flour can remain airborne for quite a while and he did say they use wheat flour in the kitchen.
Anyway, we went home with a very hungry 9 year old and a realization that we ell only eat out at dedicated gluten free restaurants.

Many items on the menu can be made gluten free and are indicated as such on the menu. Their gluten free chicken tenders are very good and crispy. My gluten-eating child happily splits an order of them with her celiac brother!

The staff were so knowledgeable about gf. Almost everything can be made gf and is celiac friendly! Even a dedicated fryer! I had a burger and fries and they were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to those with celiac and also those without it.
Yes
Burger was fantastic and their gluten free bread comes from The Cheese Bread Factory so it is also delicious. Service was a bit odd but it was ‘off’ normal lunch hours. Large, comfy booths for big groups!

Came in to order food to go and ordered the chili with a side of fries. Didn’t realize that I never got the fries till I got home. There weren’t many gf options on the menu like I thought there would be maybe cause I wAs in a rush. I did get the gf chocolate cake and that was awesome!
A great place for GF dining!

My go-to place. Knowledgeable and never get sick. I feel safest eating here.
I will give them some credit (two stars) that they do have a lot of GF options, my only complaint is the pizza... my son ordered a gluten free pizza which was so paper thin it couldn't hold the toppings, every time he would pick up a piece the toppings would fall off, completely inedible. The server asked if everything was ok (pizza was uneaten/fallen apart) when I explained he couldn't eat it, he acted as if that was how GF pizza just was and would we like a box? When I declined the to go box he put the check on the table and left, no apologies - just like tough luck, this is your crappy GF pizza. And we've had LOTS of decent GF pizza, yes, the crusts are thin, but, they are at least edible!!!
We've been here multiple times. Diverse menu with a lot of options. Nice kids menu. Knowledgeable staff about GF and cross contamination.

The food here is so good! They have a lot of options for gf/celiac. The waitstaff seems pretty knowledgeable, and the menu even specifies that there is a separate gf fryer for fries and chips and even gf chicken tenders! I love the burgers (bread is cheese bread from the local Gluten Free Oasis and it's awesome) and pasta.
Yes
The menu is well marked with the GF symbol, they will substitute pasta for gf pasta, fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer, and you can get a burger on a locally-made Brazilian Cheese Bread bun. Highly recommend.

Awesome place.....SO MANY gluten free options. The wait staff was aware of gluten free and my son loved it. No problems after! We'll definitely be back!
A lot of GF choices. Had a burger and the GF bun was awesome. Will be going back for sure.

WOW... What a great place for Celiac (and non celiac). My son could not have been happier with all the choices, not to mention the dessert. Waiter was great, wrote down "celiac" on his food order sheet so the kitchen would know. Will be back here for sure!!

Lots of GF options so we always order too much food! :) Some servers are more knowledgeable than others but even the ones who aren't up on GF are good about asking and getting back to us.

Ordered gluten free French onion soup. Took a spoonful and got a lump of bread. The manager apologized and said the check ( for the food I couldn't eat) was on her.... Nothing more. Left hungry and am waiting for the pain to start.

I would love to give this restaurant more stars because they have a good selection of gluten free menu items and they have a dedicated gluten free area where the food is prepared. But I can't because the Maggie McFly's in Brookfield needs to train their waitstaff about gluten cross-contamination and how to ensure that the cooks who get your order are notified that it needs to be gluten-free. Last time I was there, the waitress failed to notify the cooks, and did not check the order before delivering it to me. I was given a regular meal, not gluten-free as I'd asked, and sent it back. I no longer trusted them and so I left.
I maight add that the Maggies in Southbury is wonderful and very careful about the food they serve to their gluten intolerant patrons, so from now on I will go there instead.

Went here for dinner before a movie. 15 minutes after I was told there was a GF fryer, the waitress came and said there was no dedicated GF fryer anymore.

SO MANY OPTIONS! The boneless buffalo chicken bites were excellent. Dedicated gluten free fryer and nothing fried was too greasy. All their sauces are made in house and majority are gluten free. The Corned Beef Reuban was delicious and came with amazing French fries! Can’t wait to try many more menu items.
