We had take-out, and the staff were very knowledgeable about GF and celiac. They assured me that they used a dedicated fryer and that the breaded/battered dishes were made using potato starch. When I picked the food up, all the GF items were labeled and in the same bag, and a smaller bag with the non-GF items (just the spring roles and wonton soup) were all together. They were very patient and happy to answer all my questions.
This was my first Chinese food experience since diagnosis and I was not disappointed. We had the dinner for six, and the only non-GF items were the spring roles, wonton soup, and fortune cookies. All the other dishes were GF (ginger beef, sweet & sour chicken, black pepper pork, hot & sour soup, chicken fried rice, ginger tofu, salt & pepper squid, etc.), and they were very tasty. The ginger beef wasn’t as crunchy as I’ve had pre celiac, but the flavour was very good, and the hot & sour soup is some of the best I’ve had. They serve the sweet & sour sauce in the side so the breading on the chicken stays crisp. This is now our go-to restaurant for Chinese food.
Wonderful staff. Very helpful and friendly and eager to help.
