Thr Magpie Cafe was a very good experience. I would highly suggest it. The gluten free batter is very nice and so are the chips. If you tell the waiter, she will tell you what you can have. If you wanted Calamari or Onion rings you might not be able to have it due to keeping the gluten free fryer or pan allergen free/ safe. Again, if you are celiac like me, I would very much suggest it!

I’ve always loved the Magpie and now I’m gluten free I can still enjoy it! I had the haddock and chips and it had lovely crispy batter. There was even gluten free vinegar and gluten free balsamic onions.

We visit once a year and usually have fish and chips from the Magpie takeaway ( they have a restaurant too) Always good, this year better than before. They offer different fish and scampi, and have GF vinegar

Great fish and chips, you can have everything on the menu apart from scampi & sausage. They cook takeaway gf food in a dedicated fryer in the main restaurant. Delicious!

Excellent food, the staff was great, taking time detailing allergy and GF requirements.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Dedicated frier for gluten free fish and chips. Vegetarian options but anything fried is done in beef fat even though gluten free. There are other vegi options though. Portions are large. Now need a place nearby to have a sleep.
