Called ahead to make a reservation and inquire about gluten free options. I was assured they had gluten free options but no elaboration was provided. Showed up at the restaurant, inquired about the gluten free options and the host said this was the 2nd time that night he had been asked about this. Again, was assured there was gluten free options and the solution was to order any of the dishes that come with pasta and simply ask to substitute grilled vegetables. This worked for me as I’m not celiac but was extremely disappointing. That significantly changed my options and experience for the restaurant. Admittedly, The food was excellent, I ordered shrimp scampi with grilled vegetables and no pasta. I skipped the rolls. I had a salad with no croutons and a vinaigrette dressing. The server was not very friendly and seemed like she was rushing to get us served and out the door. When the entrees were served my meal was delayed as the kitchen had prepared my meal with pasta. I’m not sure exactly how this was corrected as when the meal came out it did have vegetables. But from a cross contamination perspective this would have been a concern. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant to accommodate a gluten preference or celiac.
