I was able to eat gluten free chicken parmesan for the first time in a long time. They make their own gluten free noodles and boil them in separate water from the standard pasta. It was delicious and I didn't get sick. My husband shared my meal with me and he thought it was delicious as well.
Absolutely delicious chicken parm and pasta. Staff was knowledgeable about changing gloves and not putting bread on my plate. The best GF chicken parm and pasta I’ve had in a restaurant by far!! Only downside would be no GF bread or dessert but I’d rather have the delicious main course options!! Ate here two days in a row and was not disappointed! I cannot recommend this enough for fellow Celiacs.
Best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had hands down. I had the Scallop Pasta with pesto Alfredo, and my husband had the seafood scampi. I had some pasta leftover and it heated up excellently the next day. We will definitely be back if we ever go back to Key West! They have one type of gf/egg free pasta, but all of their sauces are gluten free, so the options are endless!
I really wanted to like this place. Ambiance was great, food was tasty and the GF offerings were aplenty. Unfortunately both my wife (Pollo Parmesano) and me (Bollito Misto di Mare) got sick that night and the day afterwards. I’m not sure what happened the night we went but it didn’t work out. Prices were good (seemed like more of a local place). I will try again but last night wasn’t our night.
Delicious casual Italian place in Key West. I had a glass of Sauvignon blanc, a house salad and the funghi pasta (tomato, mushroom, spinach, garbanzos with garlicky pesto and feta cheese) with homemade gf noodles. The salad was decent - not spectacular. I would pass on it if I didn’t need to hit my vegetable quota. The pasta was super tasty. Didn’t feel weighed down after eating it. Prices weren’t astronomical but the gf pasta was a 5 dollar upcharge.
They have homemade gluten free noodles and several gf options. I ate here twice while vacationing in Key West. I had the lobster linguine and pasta with creamy marinara and shrimp. Both were delicious! The staff was knowledgeable and ensured me they prepare gf dishes separately. I had no issues. I avoid eating out places that do not have a dedicated gf kitchen as I have had many issues with cross contamination. Traveling is very difficult but have found Key West to have several safe places for me to eat. I will definitely visit Mangia Mangia again in future travels to Key West! I highly recommend to anyone with celiac.
We had a great meal here. The server was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients in the dishes that could be suitable for our dietary needs. My family also has some dairy allergies and told us what to avoid.. GF pasta was awesome! I had the chicken breast with GF fettuccine and marinara sauce. Other family members had seafood trio with pasta and marinara. Everyone was very pleased. Definitely worth checking out.
Great food! They were knowledgeable and have gf pasta and can make some other dishes. My daughter had a seafood dish with lobster, shrimp and crab in a scampi sauce with a pasta (pappardelle). I had salmon and house salad. Both were delicious and no one got sick. They were not open for lunch when we tried to go back so look for their hours. No dessert or bread available.
When I walked in I asked to talk to the manager because I am a Celiac. She said yes everything was fine for me and sat me down. I asked our waitress what we could have and I started asking all my normal questions. Do you wear gloves? Do you have separate dishes you use? She immediately just started at me rudely and said they don't need to change gloves.....I cancelled my order immediately, they didn't even ask why. Celiacs beware.
The best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had. The chicken parm was phenomenal. I will be back.
So glad we went a little off the beaten path for this place. Low-key, seems like a favorite for locals, so not touristy. The only pasta option for GF was rice linguine (also egg-free). I had chicken parm (they coat all their chicken in GF flour and pan fry) and subbed Alfredo for my pasta instead of marinara. Pasta was delicious, a little gummy as it cooled off, though. Chicken was amazing, too! Would've been nice to enjoy fresh bread with the others. Felt extremely safe here and was happy to enjoy a delicious, stress-free meal.
I read other reviews about this quaint little place that made their own GF pasta. Our family decided to try it and wow, we were not disappointed. My Celiac son had the chicken Parmesan that had a side of the GF pasta. My husband ordered the lobster - delicious! I had the scallops and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and even went through their precautions for those with Celiac Disease. I can’t thank this establishment enough for taking care of our family.
