Food was okay - Chicken Tinga de Corral tacos weren’t rich at all, quesadillas were on corn tortillas, indistinguishable from tacos. Totopos and Guacamole were excellent, even if the ration of totopos was tiny.
Disclaimer: being from the US, close to Mexico and having traveled extensively all over the country, and having studied in Ciudad Mexico, and since I adore food from Mexico’s various provinces, I am spoiled.
Also, I have a transplanted organ so need and prefer restaurants that have hygiene trained staff. I observed none of the most basic hygienic measures by the staff, like hand washing or sanitizing. A rag from the floor was used to wipe a table.
We won’t eat at Mano de Santo again, sorry to say.
Fully gluten free The drinks where cheap, a lot of different dishes available, even vegan options (no burritos tho). Portions on the smaller side, but that is reflected in the price. I honestly didn't really like the food, compared to the non- gluten free Mexican food out there (I only recently discovered my celiac disease.
Arrived at 8 for dinner as website stated it was open at that time. We were told the restaurant did not open for 30 more minutes. Husband has tuna tostadas and was happy with them. I had chicken enchilada and it was delicious. We also split the tacos Al Pastor - they were fine, but not stellar. I felt comfortable eating there as a celiac as the restaurant is a dedicated gluten free facility. Suffered no adverse effects. Must have some grasp of the Spanish language as our server spoke no English. We sat outside which was pleasant as the restaurant is on the square and people were strolling and walking their dogs. We ordered a drink which was so strong it tasted like jet fuel. Would definitely return to eat again.
Excellent experience and would recommend for any celiacs staying in Saville! Had the guac to start - chips had weight to them and were great. The guac itself was too lime forward. Followed with a prawn ceviche that was delicious, chicken tostadas (wonderful) and pulpo tacos (also good). 9/10 would absolutely come back!
I had to wait quite a long time to get a table. They put me on the waiting list and the waitress came to call me in their sister bar next door. The waiters are very nice. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla, which was very good, tacos del pastor, which were ok and a cheesecase, which was a bit small, but more or less good :-) I recomend it.
Mexican food. They have made the menu completely gluten free, so no worries!
