I ate at mantra several times during a recent trip to Houston. I didn't stray far from the black lentil burger with the yucca fries, which made a very delicious combo, although I did also try the butternut squash cauliflower crust pizza, which was quite good as well.
Friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere as well. Will definitely come back here next time I am in the area.
Note that many of the dishes do contain nuts (in the vegan "cheeses" and sauces, so if you do have a nut allergy, definitely ask the servers.
So delicious! Great to not worry about safety. Service was very friendly and food was great. We got Brussels sprouts, a white wine lemon sauce penne pasta and a hibiscus strawberry cheesecake. I went with a friend who isn’t gf and she loved it too!
I love that it was all gluten free, that certainly eased any concern that I normally have going out to eat. However, I have had some fantastic vegan & gluten free food before…& this just wasn’t it. We had mushroom Marsala and the raw cheesecake. The raw cheesecake was delicious but the mushroom Marsala was just okay. Personally, I wouldn’t go back again. For the prices it just wasn’t worth it imo.
So good! I highly recommend the nachos. The kitchen is entirely gluten free and vegan.
