Let someone who was gf lonnnnnng before it was "cool" to be gf give you an honest review.

These pancakes are basically flat cornbread. Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy cornbread, and have a killer recipe that makes even gluten eaters beg for more. But... pancakes should be light and fluffy. These were anything but. I am a big eater (a foodie as much as I can be with my dietary restrictions) and I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites of these. Not that it was a bad cornbread recipe, but because I had put syrup on them as pancakes and, they were not pancakes.

As for the rest of the restaurant, it appeared to be well run as traffic seemed to flow smoothly while we were there (crowded sat morning), and the staff, save for the floor manager, were very friendly. The rest of the food was edible so, go for other food but... skip the pancakes. Unless your brought your BBQ or chili. 🤪

My guess is that Lyndsay chick has an ulterior motive to bash nearby restaurants and then praise this one on other pages. 🤔 Tsk tsk

I would not recommend for someone with Celiac. They have gluten free pancakes and waffles, but the waffle maker is the same one used for the regular waffles. They will "clean" the grill for gluten free pancakes. The maple syrup is artificial and though the waitress brought me the jug to look at I was not able to confirm if it was actually gluten free.

Best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had.

I highly recommend this place for breakfast. It’s an old school dinner that you can tell us run with love and care. I had to ask about the ingredients in the pancakes because I’m allergic to buckwheat, pea, and garbanzo flour (often used to replace wheat flour). They were super sweet and accommodating, letting me check the ingredients directly on the packaging. The chocolate chip GF pancakes are TO DIE FOR.

Offers gluten free pancakes and waffles. Server was not knowledgeable about gluten or allergy. Mediocre diner food at best. About bathrooms as they are not clean any very small
