Not celiac safe. Wheat free products are NOT gluten free. The options are limited to essentially nothing.

Was visiting with the family, I knew it was a risk but tried a wheat free muffin anyways. It definitely had cross contamination if not gluten - and the reaction was quite quick and severe. Next time we’ll be heading to bakes by the lake instead.

While this place does have a couple of “wheat free” options, they claim to have no gluten free items due to cross contamination. While this is somewhat true, they are also classifying things wrong just for ease sake. If you aren’t worried about cross contamination, the couple items they have are good. But I found the attitude of the woman I asked about gluten free was less than pleasant. As a celiac for almost 20 years, I don’t appreciate shop owners attempting to (incorrectly) educate me on gluten. Save your money for Bakes by the Lake!!

Used to have some options for celiacs but not anymore, so best to avoid unless cross-contamination is not an issue for you.

They are wheat-free not gluten free. But they have the best bread. You can order ahead of your visit so you get the items you want. They freeze well. A must visit.
The wheat free bread is great and I’ve never had an issue. I’ve tried the wheat free muffins and cake a few times and each time have gotten a reaction.
They make gluten free bread with no precautions taken. They have no options anymore for celiac. And their homemade pickles were even disappointing and were 8.00 for a small jar. Don’t waste your time. Sad but true

Their wheat free bread is amazing!! However, I got sick every time I ate it.

Hit or miss. Used to love this place before needing gluten free options. Sometimes have their “wheat free” cookies and am ok, most of the time I got sick so I stopped trying. I’ve asked 3 times if they use certified gluten free oats and have been told each time to “just avoid the products” without a clear answer so I thought that was enough information to omit this as a safe option to eat.

This place is not GF. There was only wheat free baked goods which is not gluten free. Amazing store and amazing products for those that can eat gluten.
