Lovely cafe in a historic town. The staff were very knowledgeable about celiac disease. The owner realised that I was dairy free from my order and asked me if I wanted to omit butter from my toastie. This showed a high level of awareness. I’m glad I ordered the tomato and red pepper soup because the toastie was quite small. The food was delicious and tasted homemade. They also had huge slices of gf cake. The cherry vanilla cake was dairy-free and reminded me of a cherry Genoa cake I used to make in my pre-celiac days. The staff are really kind and friendly. Lots of seating upstairs too.
