The menu was not labeled but the staff were very knowledgeable and the food was great!

Five stars for this restaurant. As others have said, only the Clam Chowder was marked as GF, but the host and waitperson both were knowledgeable about my options. I was able to get a Lobster Roll with a GF bun and fries (confirmed as from a dedicated fryer). The portions were generous. My Lobster Roll was 1/2 pound of lobster and there were more fries than I could even imagine eating.

I had the lobster roll on a GF bun and some of the clam chowder. Very delicious, and generous portions! Only the chowder is marked on the menu, but there are lots of options, you just have to ask. Our waitress said the fries were fried in a separate fryer than everything else and were GF, so it’s possible they changed procedures recently. …or that she was mistaken (but no reaction so far). My sandwich on the GF bun came out marked with a toothpick and I saw them grabbed an individually packaged roll from the fridge for me.

The clam chowder was delicious and safe for those with celiac. We didn’t try anything else since there wasn’t much marked on the menu, but were very happy with the chowder!

This place was great! The only thing marked as gf is the clam chowder but I asked my waiter if anything else was gf and he immediately asked if it was for celiac or preference. Once I specified celiac he ran through the whole menu and I could basically get any sandwich with a gf bun and almost every main menu item as well. No shared fryer so no French fries, but I got the grilled chicken sandwich and they gave me coleslaw or rice as a free side since I couldn’t do fries. I also tried the clam chowder and it was delicious! Would absolutely recommend this place to my fellow celiacs.

I can only speak to the Clam Chowder. We ordered and ask for confirmation on cross contamination practices. Upon determining it would be safe for our celiac daughter, we ordered. She's had it last year and this year - no reaction. It tastes great!
I don't think there are any other GF items on the menu or anything else we would feel safe to eat. For that reason, we stuck to the chowder.
Gave it 4 stars (we liked it) and 3 hearts for safety.

I am a very sensitive celiac. I was excited to try the chowder but I only had 3 bites (I figured that was safer than eating it all and if I was fine then I would be able to eat it every day on vacation) but unfortunately, for me, it didn’t work. There must be very small amounts of cross contamination by the time we ate at 9pm…. Not for sensitive celiacs.

I was able to have the gluten free chowder and I chose to have the scallop sandwich without a bun, but a gluten free bun was offered. The fries were also good for me but I am okay with cross contamination and the waiter was transparent that they couldn’t guarantee no cross contamination even though the fries had their own dedicated frier.
Several others in my party had allergies (dairy for example) and our waiter made sure to check with the chef and then err on the side of caution for cross contamination and come back with suggested alternatives if needed.

Had the lobster risotto - super yummy, and I didn't get sick!
2022 - Ate here again. The chowder was the only item marked GF, but there were other items available. I had an arugula salad with salmon, and a cup of their delicious chowder.

Only got the chowder, nothing else was labeled GF. It wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever had and was a bit overpriced, but I think it was very safe, and I didn’t get sick. If you need a safe celiac meal in Martha’s Vineyard, this is a great place to go!

This place was fantastic. The clam chowder was the only thing on the menu marked GF but the waiter checked with kitchen staff to confirm all other questions I had while ordering. The chowder was DELICIOUS and I ordered the Pork Prime Rib with balsamic peach glaze, brussel sprouts and potatoes. It was a very yummy meal. No GF desserts on the menu. I would absolutely recommend.

This is some of the best GF clam chowder I’ve ever had. That being said, they only offer the meal in cup size and don’t really have any other GF options on the menu. (I ended up ordering two cups of chowder to hold me over.) Would recommend it here if you’re a fan of clam chowder!

Chowder was fantastic, only thing I could eat outside of probably their raw stuff. Had the chowder twice during the week, no reaction, was probably the best I've had, even before celiac.

I’m sure if you can eat chowder this is a great option but besides that they don’t really have a great GF selection. I ended up with a bunless burger and they forgot the lettuce to wrap it in.
Awesome place for GF clam chowder...doesn’t offer much else. Wife has celiac and had no issues!
Yes
I’m giving it 4 stars because we were safe, but besides the chowder, there is almost nothing on the lunch menu that is gf.
Yes
I hadn’t realized how much I had missed clam chowder. Yum! Other GF options were marked, but we were there for the chowder. It was quite busy for dinner on a Friday night and we were able to snag a table set aside for a later reservation.
Yes
The chowder is gluten free and celiac safe and absolutely delicious! Limited other celiac safe options though if you want something other than chowder
Yes
Chowder is GF and amazing! Very knowledgeable about cross-contamination.
Yes
Very good GF clam chowder. No dedicated fryer. Waitress willing to inquire and kitchen very knowledgeable.
Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us know which items on the menu were gluten free or could be made gluten free. Their New England clam chowder was worth the trip by itself! The rest of the food we had was delicious too. We had a GF steak and a GF chicken dish. We subbed french fries (non-dedicated frier) for mashed potatoes. Definitely worth a visit.
Yes
The staff is very knowledgeable- no official gluten free menu but waitress was very helpful. Cook staff made sure every part was gluten free. Delicious clam chowder- don’t remember the last time I was able to eat it!
Gluten Free chowder is okay, but the app says that there is a gluten free menu, which is not true. There is no separate frier and the only things that were celiac friendly other than the chowder were salads. Definitely not celiac friendly.
No
Clam Chowder was Gluten Free and fantastic! I never saw so many clams and potatoes. Fresh hamburger! No GF buns or bread. No dedicated GF fryer yet. But they went out of their way to make GF substitutions. Hummus was great! Very fast and kind service by our server, Jake.
Yes
Gluten free clam chowder was amazing! Most entrees also were gluten free, waiter had great knowledge about each entree and how it could be changed. Great meal.
Yes
GF chowder was pricy but absolutely delicious. Being celiac and away from home can be tough, nice to see places like this accommodating dietary restrictions. Great vacation GF treat!
No gluten-free menu but Wait Staff knowledgeable about Glutenfree diet. Clam chowder was good. Lobster roll ( without roll) didn't need the parsley and onions. Lobster doesn't need anything added to be great.
Yes
Great food but prices are steep!! Main dishes are at least $25 +
Yes
Best clam chowder ever! & it was gluten free

Gluten free clam chowda!!! So good! Great staff, great atmosphere!
Chowder is excellent. Staff was very knowledgeable. Served burger with no bun. Not the best for picky kids, but great adult options. Would be better if they had g free bread.
Went there for a late afternoon snack for a bowl of gf chowder. It was tasty but we didn't eat anything else. Nice atmosphere for dinner.
The clam chowder was tasty and plenty of clams if you're in Oak Bluffs definitely worth trying.
Having won best chowder in New England from multiple sources for the last two years, as well as best new restaurant, Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company has become quite the hot spot to check out. The chowder is a tasty, clam-filled treat, and great news for us, it's gluten-free.
Located right in the center of Oak Bluffs, which is a plus. The clam chowder is gluten free, and it's pretty good. Otherwise, though, there is no GF menu and I have no idea what else is safe to eat. My sister (also celiac) went there as well and told me that they helped accomodate her and showed her other potential options, but I don't think there were very many.
Food was good but every time I eat there I get sick. I don't have symptoms so it could be something else but the fact that it's happened numerous times makes me think it's them.
No
Food was good no gluten menu but they seemed to acomadate very pricey
The chowder was absolutely amazing!
