Can’t provide a review on my experience with their food we were unable to eat here.
When we asked about gluten free options, we were told they cook everything on the same grill and there would definitely be cross contamination.
I appreciated the honesty, as I would much rather know than take a risk.
ordered the 2 lb taco kit gluten free. All they did was change it to corn tortillas. Seemed very knowledgeable. They used to be hand made fresh tortillas, now they just look like normal tortillas but still fresher than a grocery. The barbacoa was cinnamon-y and sweet. The carnitas were good. ( you get to pick two meats with the 2lb kit) even though we ordered GF they didn't tell us the CHIPS ARE NOT. so I called to check. Overall we will be back, though the food could use a serious upgrade, but for safe food I will deal with it. also $50 fed my family of 5 ( two of whom are teenage boys) with a lot of leftovers.
Establishment is very willing to make accommodations for any allergy. Just alert them of Celiac’s they will just make whatever it is on a corn tortilla, tacos for instance. They brought it out separate from the other food to ensure nothing was mixed up and no cross contamination. Food was very good.
Upon arrival I indicated I have Celiac and asked them to confirm if they could accommodate me safely? They confirmed, yes. They do have a shared frier, so items fried are not safe. They do have corn tortillas, so I went with the meat street tacos, which included Al Pastor, Chicken Tanga, and the Chorizo. All were great, but I did feel like the chorizo was more wet than normal. In addition, we ordered two extra tacos, the mahi and the barbacoa. The mahi was superb, the barbacoa I felt was a little to dry. My SO had it, but it was not dry to him, so perhaps mine was an exception? Lastly, I tried the triple berry margarita. It has a nice balance to it, not too sweet, nor too boozy tasting. I did not have any negative reactions and we certainly would return, especially for the outdoor seating.
