Mateo’s Cafe & Restaurant

Very nice, bright, clean breakfast place, with lots of choices that don't have gluten-containing ingredients (eggs, omelets, etc.) Strangely, while they do not offer GF bread for toast or buns for sandwiches, they do offer GF pancakes and waffles (even though it is not on their menu!). I tried the pancakes and they were quite good. I didn't have a lot of confidence about GF safety, though - I did not get very clear answers about how the kitchen handles cross-contamination issues. Bottom line, though, is I had a nice meal and did not get sick!
