Matsuya Waseda Restaurant

Matsuya is a chain restaurant featuring cheap set meals. You order at a ticket machine and get your food from the front when your number is called. Staff interaction is minimal. I looked at the allergen menu online before I went (they have a version in English) and found the Barbequed Beef set meal didn’t contain wheat. It comes with Beef, grated daikon, green onions, rice, and salad. Miso soup and water are free if you eat in-store. Food was pretty cheap for the amount you get and tasty too. Service is very fast. I wouldn’t recommend this place for groups larger than two, it’s very much geared towards the individual customer.
