This was our FAVORITE place we ate in Hawaii. Almost everything is gf. There is one sauce and the sandwiches aren't gf, but the chicken and fries are. My kids ate everything and were excited they could get fries and raved about the chicken. Prices were super reasonable too.
Very good and the staff is very knowledgeable. The only things with gluten are the bread and teriyaki sauce.
So glad we made the stop! Delicious and very careful if you tell them you are gluten free.

Delicious food! And cheapest place we ate in Oahu!!! They are very knowledgeable and are ready to change gloves and utensils if you mention you have a gluten allergy. We loved the quarter chicken with BBQ sauce. The only sauce not gf is the teriyaki. Also, Mikes fries are the way to go! Edit: no reaction! Came back again because it was so good!
Delicious, moist, flavorful chicken. Honey mustard sauce was also great. Everything is GF except bread for sandwiches and teriyaki dipping sauce. The woman who took our order asked if it was an allergy and said they would wipe everything down first. Felt safe, no reaction
We love Maui Mike’s and made it back for this trip also. 4 out of 5 of us are Celiac and enjoyed the chicken and French fries. They are fried in a separate frier. DO NOT get the teriyaki sauce, that one is NOT GF. All others are safe to enjoy.
Juicy chicken and good fries. Fries are in a dedicated fryer and most of the sauces are GF. Tell them you are Coeliac and they'll take extra precautions. They were very helpful and clear about what I could have

Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable! They gave recommendations on things to try and it was great!
We stopped here as we did the Shaka app. Great chicken and fries gluten free. Friendly. We will stop again when we are back in Hawaii. We were struggling to eat circa week and found this tonight. Very good meal and not expensive! Thanks
The employee taking our order was great. Explained that only gluten containing items are the buns, teriyaki sauce and soy sauce. They have a dedicated fryer. They changed gloves and got new cutting board.
Beside the fact that they are so friendly and knowledgeable, their food was so good. It is hard flying all day as a celiac so I needed something mild but fresh. The sweet bbq sauce and moist chicken was delicious and the fries were perfect. I love how everything but the buns and teriyaki sauce is gf. I felt safe eating here and I am so sensitive
So good and everything is gf except one sauce and the buns! Also it isn't as pricey as all the touristy places. Worth it!
Delicious and everything except the sandwiches (bread) and teriyaki sauce was GF! I was able to have the fries, which often times is a no go bc of a shared fryer.
We ordered the #3 with rice with a drink. You get two dipping sauces. The teriyaki was the only one that had gluten. The person working the counter was knowledgeable about food allergies and clearly indicated upfront what was not okay to eat. Chicken tasted great and we enjoyed the ambience of the location. Would eat there again. Fun spot.

Most of the items are naturally GF (except for bread and some sauces). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
I told them I had celiac disease and must about gluten. They handled my order first after changing gloves and cleaning the workspace. The fries are made in a dedicated fryer (only fries go in it since nothing else is fried here). It was great to eat a delicious fire roasted chicken with fries! Most of the sauces are GF except for the teriyaki and Hawaiian sauces (BBQ, honey mustard, each etc are GF). Nutrition and allergy information are available to read.
Overall, great local atmosphere. Seating area is small so try to come during an off time or be prepared to take your food to go.
This place was awesome! So helpful and everything is gluten free except the buns and the teriyaki sauce. The person taking our order was knowledgeable and friendly. The chicken and fries were delicious. My son especially loved the chicken and rice.

Avoid the Teriyaki Dipping sauce - NOT GF.
Called in after placing an online order for curbside pickup to be sure the kitchen got the celiac level gf-ness. They confirmed and said their standard practice is to change cutting boards and gloves to prevent cross contamination and they were very happy to. The chicken was amazing! All their bbq is gf except teriyaki (we loved the sweet). Their fries were pretty good but in a dedicated fryer so safe fries are always a win for me. Have eaten here twice without getting sick and happy to go back!
Absolutely excellent. Amazing and kind staff, great pricing for the amount & quality of food, and so delicious. Everything is GF except for the sandwich bread and teriyaki. It’s a small shop so the entire kitchen can see & hear you ordering, and all 3 (at the time) jumped at the mention of gluten free and assured me they would take extreme caution. They even threw in a couple extra pieces of chicken on the house. Very impressed & happy to have found this gem!
Ate here today and they were very nice. Told me which items contained gluten and made sure mine didn’t have any. Enjoyed the chicken and fries.
Update Feb 2022: got sick a few times in 2021 at both locations and I will not be back.
Old review (no longer accurate) — Celiac safe! The only fried thing on the menu are fries, so there's a dedicated fryer. The chicken is gluten free and so are all the sauces and sides. Stay away from the teriyaki/soy sauces, the menu items that are sandwiches, and make sure and tell the staff it's gluten free. They'll write gluten free on the ticket and take extra time to prepare the meal. The chicken is OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD!! Best rotisserie chicken I've ever had.
Best rotisserie chicken I think I have ever eaten. All of the fries were GF and the staff was very knowledgeable to celiac. It’s an amazing stop if you want chicken and fries. Reasonable priced and offers a family meal as well.
They currently offer take out and limited outdoor seating. As soon as I mentioned I was celiac, they told me the few items that were unsafe. They also assured me that they change gloves, use separate utensils, and area to prep GF food. The chicken was delicious and juicy. I also had the sweet potato fries as they are prepared in a dedicated fryer. Yum!

This place is in a nondescript strip mall, but totally worth a visit! The rotisserie chicken, all the sauces (but one), and the fries are gluten free. The fryer only cooks fries, so they are celiac safe. Perfect for a quick and delicious lunch on Oahu!
Hands down the best (and cheapest) place I ate at on the island! Got chicken with fries and a drink then me and my boyfriend went to the beach to watch the sunset and dine. Worth the drive!!!

Menu wasn't labeled but upon talking to the staff there were only two things at the whole place you couldn't have, the teriyaki sauce and the buns. They said all else is GF>

Everything is gluten free except for the sandwiches and teriyaki sauce. Staff are all extremely knowledgeable, and immediately wrote on my check and verbally said “gluten free” to all staff members. They used a separate surface to prepare and gloves were changed before handling any part of my meal. A gluten meal in my family was served on a separate tray. Also, the gluten-checker God, Nima, said my meal was safe. Super tasty and safe!
When I asked what was gluten free, the cashier wrote gluten free under my order and immediately told me what I could and could not have. My husband (not celiac) ordered a sandwich and they gave him a different tray to avoid cross contamination or any food accidentally touching. Did not get sick! Very good food as well!
Update: Have now eaten here twice and did not get sick either time.
Wow. Just wow. This little shop is more of a fast food walk up restaurant with picnic benches for chairs, but the food is awesome. We stopped during a coast drive along. Something for everyone, gf and non gf. Everything is gf except the bread and teriyaki. The roasted rotisserie chicken is moist, the fries are crisp. The sandwiches are great. And reasonable prices. If we are here again, we would make the drive from Waikiki just once. Maybe 35 min drive.
The staff was very knowledgeable. As soon as I advised I have celiac they informed me that only the bread and teriyaki sauce contained gluten. I ordered the shredded white meat chicken, fries, and 3 different sauces. Everything was very good and I did not get sick. Highly recommend.
The staff are very knowledgeable about gf meal prep. I ordered incorrectly and the staff were excellent in correcting my own ordering mistake. They will prepare gf meals with all clean and new equipment. The chicken tastes excellent. They are quite small servings for an American business so my only recommendation is to order a bigger meal! Delicious!

Employees are gluten free knowledgeable. All sauces except Teri are gf. Side dish of Pork and Beans is gf.

I can't say more wonderful things about Maui Mike's! WOW. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. It is small and a bit dated, but who doesn't want that from your local wing joint. Everything is made on site, there is only one sauce that has wheat. They are very well-versed in GF. I got the half chicken with veg sides. It was juicy. The people who work there are very friendly and care if you feel like they care. It was our first stop on our recent vacation and well-worth the tiny detour we took while driving to the North Shore.
This place was very good. Staff very knowledgeable and willing to clean up to avoid cross contamination (Celiac but not highly sensitive). I ordered the Maui Wowie and they put it over top my fries. Very good. Would go back again.
I have eaten here many times and they have been absolutely fabulous in taking precautions to avoid gluten cross contamination! Plus the chicken and sauces are yummy. The fries are not impressive, but decent enough and you get a ton of them with your meal.
