I couldn’t believe that McDonald’s offered gluten-free options. There were seven options on the menu for gluten-free burgers. Note that ordering off of the self-service screen was not a good idea. The gluten-free aspect did not translate to the order: when I asked to double check to make sure my order was gluten free, it turned out that they served glutinous versions. They suggested ordering at the counter to ensure items are gluten-free. They remade my burgers and I was able to enjoy gluten-free versions.

Mc Donalds Austria offers gluten-free burger. The burgers are heated in the same ovens as those containing gluten. Regular tests show that the gluten content is below the legally prescribed maximum value of 20ppm and are therefore declared gluten-free. Fries and curly fries have their own fryer and are safe.
