Had the delicious GF risotto. Staff were knowledgeable, they have a separate cooking area and even a separate chef for allergy meals. Would absolutely visit again.
As usual, a terrific experience at the Meade Street Bistro. They are SO knowledgeable about GF issues (and other food allergies and preferences, for that matter) and seem to be extremely careful. Lots of excellent GF choices across the menu, and they even offer a "true" GF beer (Lakefront New Grist). Many of the dessert options are GF. Even the delicious "soup-of-the-day" was GF. Lots of creative and pretty specialty cocktails are offered too. I noticed on one of their signs that they have a GF Fish Fry on Fridays - I have to get back and try that, because I haven't had a real fish fry in many years!
Many desserts GF and they have a separate fryer to offer GF fries! WONDERFUL owners and VERY conscious of intolerances/allergies!

Our "go to" place for so many options! Great Friday Fish Fry and even more delectable desserts. My husband and I eat here often and I've never had a reaction. Separate food prep area in the kitchen and a separate fryer. The pizza is marvelous! Downside? No GF fish tacos (but I'm lobbying for them...)
Had gluten free chip-crusted haddock and it was AMAZING. The fries were very good too. The waitress was careful to put a note in that it was a gluten allergy and they used a separate fryer. Definitely will be back!
Food was very tasty. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had such a great time. No problems. Gluten free menu and lots of options.
Cooks are trained and certified in gluten free cooking. Separate deep fryer and cooking areas. Wait staff very well informed!!
“Sparkles” is sooo caring, giving, kind and loving. (She’s the owner!) She truly cares about each and every one of her customers. My oldest daughter and I have nonceliac gluten sensitivity. Sparkles told us that kids eat free on Tuesday nights! She even let our almost 19 year old daughter eat for free! She also was very helpful in helping my daughter and I find options off the regular menu that were gluten free. The restaurant also has a separate gluten free menu, most regular menu items can be modified to be gluten free, and a dedicated fryer. Sparkles ensured that our food was gluten free! We also ate gluten free baked Alaska!! It has been on my bucket list forever to be able to try baked Alaska!! I finally got the opportunity to do that!! The food was delicious!! It’s sooo good that we are planning on going back again for supper!!
So good!! Staff has celiac so they know their protocols. Was told they have complete separate preparation areas and now dedicated fryers! They have stuff marked as GF how ever, she reviewed with me all the things on the "normal menu" that can be made GF. They have GF buns, fries, pizza crust, and other specialty food item's. Was delicious. Cute atmosphere with outdoor seating!
Several gluten free options. The server was very knowledgeable about the gluten free options and which menu items could be made gluten free. They also have a gluten free pastry chef. Some of the best food I've had in the area!
I had an amazing experience! The appetizer was so good, lots of dinner choices and dessert. Service was great! Our server was so friendly and helpful! Very high end feeling and food!
We told the wait staff we had a child with celiac; they immediately sent the manager out who confirmed and said “that’s what we specialize in!” They have a Sous chef with celiac and are VERY cognizant of cross-contamination. They have a dedicated GF fryer and a separate dedicated oven for the GF pizza. Could not have made us feel more comfortable, and no stomach issues after!

They have a dedicated fryer, a GF/veg/vegan menu, and a GF pastry chef. The food was great. I had a GF/dairy free pizza.
