I got a grilled cheese. I asked if they could change their gloves and clean the surface. It was not really busy and i personally felt safe but there's probably a chance of cross contamination. I saw them use udis bread and it was the best grilled cheese i've ever had but gluten free sucks so idk.

I ordered a gluten free grilled cheese sandwich. Saw them take the Udi's bread out of the package. I'm sure there is high potential for cross contamination but personally, even though I am celiac, it was ok for me. Nice to be able to get fast food easily. It was tasty but not super high quality.

Unsafe for celiac. The lady at register was very nice and told us there is lots of cross contamination. We decided not to eat there, so I can’t rate the food, but it looked delicious.

The bread is so good! You wouldn’t know it’s gluten free. The staff is knowledgeable. The tots are GF as well! The sandwich may seem “small” but it is totally filling.

Wonderful experience here! The employees were knowledgeable regarding cross contamination and how the sandwiches needed to be altered to accommodate our gluten free needs. The tater tots are fried in a designated fryer so we were able to enjoy these as well. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the future.

What a fantastic find in NY thanks to you guys. Was here 2 weeks ago and didn't know it existed. We fly home today, so this made my day! The Staff are sooo friendly and helpful and gave good advice. I went for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Gluten Free Bread with Tater Tots. The G/F Bread was only 50 cents dearer. I've been paying $2 extra elsewhere. My meal was Delicious!! Can't wait to come back and eat here again

Food was amazing! I saw others ratings and was a little concerned, but I had no problem with a melt and tater tots. The cashier did warn that they can't guarantee celiac friendly but they do there best!

Thought I would be OK here because I don't have Celiac and can usually tolerate a little cross contamination, but the girl at the register asked if I wanted the tater tots bc they were GF. They were not. Only ate those on my lunch break and got very sick by the end of the work day. Gave the sandwich to my boyfriend.

allergic to wheat so not celiac, but I had the burger melt with no cheese sauce and was fine. GF bread was better than a lot of places I've been. staff was knowledgeable about gluten in certain things.

If you are sensitive, I would advise to skip this place or order a salad. They do have GF bread, but they are also moving non-GF bread all over the place. I think the air probably has gluten in it. If you are not very sensitive it might be ok. My celiac-wife had a salad and really liked it. On a side note, I do not have gluten issues and my #3 sandwich was GLORIOUS.

I ate at Melt recently and I ordered a grilled cheese on gluten free bread. They don't have a dedicated area for grilling my sandwich and used the same utensils that they used with regular wheat bread. I wasn't too worried because although I have celiac I am not as sensitive as some are with slight cross contamination. I appreciated them not slicing my sandwich with the same knife that they use for other sandwiches and notifying me that their cheese sauce is made with flour so he wasn't going to put it on the sandwich. I did however get sick fairly quickly after eating my sandwich and won't be back unless I am certain they have a dedicated kitchen area.

I am GFDF, and was nervous to eat here. They made it wrong the first time (used butter and cheese), but I brought it to their attention, and they were very apologetic, and remade it for me. It was delicious!! Haven't had a reaction...yay!! ;) Will be back...

Great service with what I would say was Super Forward Friendly attentive staff. I asked about GF bread, he said he could make any sandwich on GF bread. Accepted the long pause and questions I had. I said, "My need is an allergy, not a preference". He stopped the process, turned into the kitchen, gave instruction and followed up on it. The staff prepared the sandwich on a separate surface and used caution.

In the space, a pure kitchen may not be possible. I ate, enjoyed and had no reaction to a chicken club sandwich. It was a knock out delicious sandwich. I had no reaction. Of course, I would recommend talking with them and make your own judgement. I'll go back again.

Grilled cheese made with Udi's bread - very cautious of cross- contamination. The cook changed gloves, and lined the tray with foil when making and cooking the sandwich.
