Review of Merrill House

First, the food is wonderful. This is fine dining at its best with superb breakfasts and delicious dinners. Unusually, almost every wine on the well chosen wine list is available by the glass giving plenty of opportunity to sample local wines from Prince Edward County as well as a decent international selection. The dinner menu changes with the seasons and it is hard to find fault with any of the dishes. The staff are extremely knowledgeable on celiac issues and take cross contamination seriously. They are also aware of which menu items contain gluten and are able to adapt most of the dishes to be celiac safe (many are naturally gluten free to start with). Friendly professional service and a nice restaurant space make this a real find. Highly recommended.
