Excellent food, fast service, waitstaff was so happy to accommodate a variety of diets for us including celiac disease with lots of food allergies, a diabetic with food allergies, and a keto diner.

Wheat Allergy

Ate dinner there last night. Had a cheddar bacon burger on a gf bun with a side of coleslaw. Was delicious and inexpensive.

We travel in a 45’ RV and got into town too late for dinner, so we were seriously hungry when we sat down at the diner for lunch the next day. I had an American burger with American cheese and “pickle slaw” which is chopped lettuce, chopped pickles and mayo. They had both bread and buns. I always get the bread as I never like the buns. The waitress was sweet and accommodating and brought me more pickle slaw when I requested it. (I am a huge fan of pickles lol). My burger was great and the side of Cole slaw was really good too. He got fried chicken and waffles which he said were good but he regretting not getting the eggs Benedict when he saw it on someone else’s plate because it looked amazing. They had plenty of GF choices and a separate GF menu.

Went on a whim and returned three times that week. Two sided gluten free menu with plentiful breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Fantastic grits, good gluten free toast, nice burger, good omelette, bacon cooked how you like it best. Attentive staff who made us fee very comfortable with the kitchen practices to prevent cross-contamination. We’ll be frequent diners here.

They have a nice gluten free menu and were very accommodating to make my meal dairy free as well. The food is very good here too! They also serve gluten free bread with your dinner!

This diner has a great gluten free menu with lots of options. Gluten free bread and rolls for sandwiches. Great place for breakfast and lunch.

Metro Diners have a separate “gluten friendly" menu, since they cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contact. There is no dedicated frier, but there are, however, gluten-free toast and buns.

Only had breakfast. They had GF bread, toasted in the oven to prevent cross contact. Food was good. Slow service.

I ordered the chicken salad. The first time they brought out my meal it was obviously not gluten free as it had breaded chicken on it (and they don’t offer gf breaded items). They quickly brought me a new meal and assured me that the whole meal was redone.

Thankfully, I didn’t have any reactions and the salad was tasty.

It’s not hard to get sick here for us at least. Risk of CC seems very high. GF bread for an upcharge. They have a two page GF menu, though cross contamination could obviously be an issue as they have fryers, fried chicken, bread, biscuits, pancakes in the kitchen, and no dedicated GF cooking space. But our waitress told us if you say gluten “allergy” they have a protocol to change gloves, use a heat lamp instead of a toaster to toast bread, will clean the cook area for you, etc. The ketchup isn’t marked GF. Can no longer eat here after getting sick here.
