Review of Mews Tavern

If you look back at old reviews here, I'm not surprised to see a big shift in ratings. My husband has celiac and we used to come to the Mew's often. They were among the first Tavern-type restaurants in South County with an extensive GF menu, including calamari!

Then one day they totally changed the menu and eliminated all GF options. Given the increasing number of people being diagnosed with celiac or gluten sensitivities, it was a pretty surprising move. Most restaurants are moving in the other direction. Nonetheless, as much as I've always loved the Mew's (it's great if you don't have an allergy!), I wouldn't recommend it for anyone on a GF diet.
