I always get sick here! I’m not sure if something on the menu is mislabeled or if there is miscommunication with the staff when ordering. I’ve eaten at the restaurant and ordered take out, sick both times. I know chips are in shared fryer so definitely avoid! There is a lot of Mexican cuisine options in OP/FP area so I just avoid this one now.
Ate there 2 times and zero reaction! Their tacos are delicious. Their menu lists the gluten free items.
I tried this restaurant by the recent reviews here and glad I did! At the end of the menu on the bottom they list specifically which items are gluten free and the rest of the menu items will likely be cross-contaminated. That is unusual for a restaurant to understand, let alone list items in this regard. High marks off the bat! Our waitress indicated right away that she understood cross contamination, which is not common, so that made me feel better from the start. She gave very good service through the meal and was very pleasant, so we have her a large tip, much deserved!
I had three barbacoa tacos with sides of cauliflower rice (never had before & much more tasty than I expected) and black beans. Mmmm, everything was so good, loved it!
They do not have a dedicated fryer, so I couldn't eat the chips, but my husband (not celiac/gluten sensitive) who is rather picky about salsas liked them. They list on their menu what they charge (first round of chips & salsa free, extra is a few bucks more) and give good details of what is included in the fees. I look forward to coming back!
I was really excited to see a section on their menu explicitly stating exactly what is safe from cross contamination. I asked a couple of questions, and the server clearly knew what she was talking about. Keto/low carb options include option for cauliflower rice. The food was delicious, and I felt very safe.
