I don't doubt there food is fresh and delish but I do not recommend this place for someone that cannot have gluten....and it coukd all stem from having a new waitress. I asked about gluten free and she said they are marked on the menu...there was no mention of a dedicated fryer. I also ordered a salad and a side of rice telling her I can't have gluten. She brings the rice with the pasta in it and my salad had pieces of pita in it!! I was so agrivated and hungry. ..I picked out the pieces of pita and ate the salad (huge mistake...I got ill)... I hate having to send food back....but I should have to educate the waitress. I think from now on I will only eat at restaurants that are clearly educated on what gluten free is.
I have been coming to this place since I moved to Hackettstown in October. The food is fresh, unique and as authentic as it gets for Lebanese food. The owners are the nicest, most welcoming people you will ever meet and will accommodate any of your dietary needs. They will let you know what is gluten free, but if you call ahead they can prepare things for you even more so. I highly recommend the baba ganoush and Phoenicia fries to start and the chicken or shrimp kebabs. Ask for the rice without the noodles!
