We’re visiting Los Angeles, and found this here on the app. I was excited to try their GF noodles and y’all know how rare GF food like this is! However, I asked and the server said that the cook the GF noodles in the same water as the gluten noodles, but do have a GF broth they use. So I ended up getting the lobster fried rice. It was very plain (just peas/carrots/corn/egg sautéed with a little bit of lobster and rice, I think in sesame oil). My partner got the shrimp friend rice and it was more flavorful since they sautéed the shrimp with ginger. We got two of the sides: the radish and mushrooms with the szechwan peppers. We could add those the rice so it made it more flavorful. Not bad, but I don’t think I’d come back here. Didn’t get sick though, so that’s good!
This place is cool. Modern casual Chinese. Mostly noodle bowls. Small chain. Knowledgeable staff right from outset. GF options clearly marked on menu. They ask you to declare any kind of allergy, so I told the waiter I was Celiac. He said, "In that case I'm going to double check with the kitchen of any contamination issues." Awesome care. Highly recommend.
I love this place! They are very knowledgeable about which dishes are gluten free. Aside from the Chengdu noodles, many of the other noodle dishes can be made entirely gluten free. I’ve had the Spicy Beef and Clear Broth Beef and both were absolutely delicious. The texture of the noodles is perfectly al dente!
Phenomenal Szechuan style food. Lots of gluten free options from appetizers to mains. Their gf noodles taste like normal noodles to the point where I have checked to confirm and even my non gf friends enjoy sharing them
