They are WONDERFUL here. We say “she has a Celiac/gluten allergy” (I know... I know... but for sake of safety, I’d rather be clear than right. 😊)
They change gloves, work in a separate area and use fresh/different pots/water for pasta. Their pizza is in a separate foil pan and even comes with a sealed disposable pizza cutter.
I believe they do share oven space for pizza, but we have had 5-6 times with no reaction with a really sensitive Celiac.
They make fresh batches of sauce (at least their Alfredo) when we order.
You DO need to specify no bread, as once in a while the cashier will (out of habit, I guess) throw bread in the order. Mind you, it’s In a separate bag, and with no contact, whatsoever.. but a waste for my daughter. ...
Love it here.. Sal is super careful and all about doing what the customer needs.

Michaels is a neighborhood Pizza place, so I was surprised when I went in for lunch and asked about the gluten free Pizza/Pasta they had a notice up about. When I asked the manager, Sal, he said that the pizza dough is individually wrapped, and comes with it's own tray that it's made on, and cutting implements. He said if you mention Celiac and let him know, they will wash hands, get fresh toppings that aren't contaminated, and they prepare and cook the pizza on the tray so it doesn't touch the oven/countertops etc. He said they also know to change out the water for gluten free pasta as well. I've been coming to Michaels since I was a kid, and thought that I'd have to give it up when my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac. Nice to know that they are trying to accommodate. Sal mentioned that it was a good idea to ask for him when ordering because he is the most knowledgeable about Celiac on the staff, and will make sure it's prepared correctly.
