I had eaten here twice. The first time I had regular street tacos without rice and beans and had no issues. Also no chips.
But this time, I had ordered the gluten free shrimp tacos with rice and beans and also had their chips.
Unfortunately this time I got sick after eating. Not sure if it may have been the fryer for the chips. I know now to ask about the oil cause sometimes other restaurants who usually have a dedicated fryer may cook flour in it on various days if the other fryer is down.
I may give it another chance and avoid the chips and rice and beans again.
We called and they put us in touch with someone else at the restaurant who was more knowledgeable on the matter. We asked what precautions they take to ensure less cross contamination. He said they use a different pan for gf, wash hands and change gloves between gluten and GF. He was super polite and even added some chips and salsa on the house to our carryout order. All we ordered was GF ... cheese enchiladas and grilled chicken tacos. Super yummy!
