Knowledgeable staff. Gluten free pizza came out on a different colour stone.
I am giving this 4 (not 5) only because waitstaff was not informed re cross contamination practiced and told me all went into the oven with no speciallrecautions because gluten would be burned off. 😟I then went to speak to manager who clarified and said the waiter was mistaken and precautions are taken, hands washed, separate prep and utensils, cooked on a separate rack in the oven. We had gf pizza, and dough balls. Kids gave it two thumbs up! Just think many would have taken the waiters word for it and worried or left! Appreciate their attention to cross contamination for sure just wish they would train the staff:)
I didn’t actually have pizza, but they have gluten free dough balls which were outstanding!
10/10 recommend for dough balls, and everyone else seems to like the pizza so I’m sure it’s tasty too!
For all my dairy free friends, they do offer vegan cheese as well. I know that can make or break a pizza for me sometimes.
I have celiac. The servers’ knowledge about their GF items was not strong, but the manager was able to describe in clear terms what extra steps they take to avoid cross-contamination. Their GF pizza is cooked in the same oven as non-GF pizzas, but on a rack that is above the rack for non-GF pizzas, so theoretically cross-contamination should be avoided. The GF pizza comes out on a black slab that is their way of marking GF. Much of their food is pre-prepared or pre-cooked in some way, which is not fantastic for taste but also should cut down on cross-contamination risk. Overall, I was satisfied with their process, and the food is decent.
Popped in for a quick snack and some wine. Plenty of gluten free options. Manager spoke to me about menu. To correct previous post…. They do not have a separate oven for GF pizza but have a separate pizza pan that GF pizzas are cooked in. They do have GF pasta. I had the tomatoe mozzarella starter - awesome. Husband had the prawn starter. They offered to bring out GF bread balls if I was going to share his dish. Later I asked for some bread ball samples. They were heated and tasted like normal bread. Of course I slathered them in butter.
All the pizzas can be made gf and come on a black slate. They aren’t the most filling as they are a bit smaller than the gluten pizzas but they are tasty. The dough balls are so nice so would recommend having them. Other options are available gf and makes on the menu. They also ask if it’s an allergy or preference when ordering so they are more careful.
Ordered the chicken and bacon gf pizza. The gluten free pizzas are smaller than the ordinary ones and the base is quite thin (fairly sure it’s a frozen pizza base). The pizza was nice, but perhaps not as good as other gluten free pizzas I have tried when eating out. They also have gluten free doughballs, halloumi bites, pasta and a gf chocolate brownie aswell so will try some of those next time. Great to have a few options to choose from but if you’re looking for pizza it wouldn’t be top of my list.
