Milner's American Southern Restaurant

Traveling with gluten-sensitivity has been a challenge but we had the most amazing experience for dinner at Milner's. There was not a gluten free menu, but our waiter assured us the meal would be prepared Gluten free. I had the most wonderful pot roast ( the best ever eaten $26) with vegetables and my partner had a wonderfully tender steak with vegetables $18. Neither of us had any ill effects. Our waiter, Trent was the best! I was a bit fearful of the sauce in the roast, but assured me it was prepared in-house and was safe. I would go back. PS. a great wine store across the street.

This place is a gem - great food and service, including many well marked Gluten Free options. I tried a fennel salad (awesome), fish tacos (very good) and mashed potatoes (very good). More food options I wanted than I could manage to eat in one meal, so I will be back! Only complaint I had was that our seating area was a little warm, but it was a super hot day outside.

Milner's is an excellent option if you are looking to eat GF in Winston-Salem. They have a dedicated gluten free menu and can make accommodations. My girlfriend has Celiac's and has never gotten sick from their food even though she is highly sensitive. Their GF menu is pretty extensive and even offers dessert. It is a little ways from downtown but definitely worth the short drive.
