I found a small little restaurant on Rosado Salas between 10 & 15
called Miss Deleites (that is how they spell it).
It is a small place with tacos and platillos fuertes, as well as vegan
and meat lasagna (keto).
Most things there are gluten free, except they have a chorizo sandwich
on a roll, and their burritos are on flour tortillas.
They have breaded shrimp or fish that is also GF. Their fryer is dedicated,
nothing with gluten goes in it. (It is actually a large pan, not a deep fryer).
I even had a chocolate brownie that was GF, DF and keto. It was really rich and delicious.
for tacos they have
chicken, pork, shrimp, fish, octopus, arrachera (marinated steak)
The pork is served 2 different ways.
The seafood can be ala plancha (in a pan) or battered and fried (GF!)
they also have lasagna that is GF, DF and keto (the "noodles" are platains)
You can get any of the proteins as a platter with sides of your choice:
rice, bean, lentils etc.
Really nice people too.
We have had the following (over 2 visits)
Tacos with (all gluten free)
camarones ala plancha con ajo & mantequilla
alambres chilango: the house speciality pork, with onions and peppers
pork asada
alambres chilango burrito (half of which my wife took home and had
for lunch the next day) on a flour tortilla
papa fritas: real wedges of potato cut and fried fresh. gluten free
chocolate brownie (vegan, dairy and gluten free)
The standard taco order is 3 tacos, ranging from $100MX to $160MX.
They are a good size, and 3 tacos was plenty of food.
I made the mistake of ordering the papas fritas, because I wasn't sure
of the size of the tacos.
My wife and I each had 3 tacos and split the papas, and we could not
finish the papas, they tacos were so filling.
For the proteins they have
pollo
asada (pork)
alambres chilango (pork)
camarones
pescado
pulpo
You can get them prepared multiple ways, including battered (gluten free)
and fried.
You can get them as tacos or platillos with rice, beans, lentils etc.
We've been there twice and will probably be back again (it is just
down the street from where we are staying)
Really nice people too (with excellent english, btw).
They don't serve alcohol, but they told us it would be ok
to bring our own.
