Delicious food and kind management! My brisket came out with cornbread on the plate by mistake and they took it back right away and got me a new one. Everything was so tasty and even the fries were safe! Updated June 2024: returned and had another awesome experience. No cornbread on my plate, my order was marked as an allergy so gloves would be changed while my order was prepared. I was told exactly what bbq sauce was not safe (only 1 out of all the choices). 10/10! Thank you to the kind and considerate staff!
The fries are safe!! They have a little gluten free menu by the counter that even shows what sauces you can have (all but one are gluten free!) My order was initially served with cornbread on it, but I brought it back up and was given an entirely fresh uncontaminated meal, I even saw them wipe down the prep surface and change gloves before touching the tray. Very impressed.
Great experience. We placed the order via phone a couple hours ahead of time for pickup. The woman that took our order was pretty familiar from the start with what was GF and not, as he told her at the beginning of placing the order that it was to be GF so she advised us on menu items and sauces. My partner went to pick it up while I worked and when he returned, he reported that another customer had asked for more cornbread while he was waiting for our order and the staff told the other customer it would be a wait as they’d just decontaminated the kitchen for a special order and couldn’t make more bread until that order was done. He observed the staff bring out fresh cuts of meat and new utensils after they had wiped down all the surfaces to ensure no cross contamination. We had a great dinner and no problems at all (I am newly dx celiac and this was my first time visiting him in Fayetteville since my diagnosis so we were both a little nervous; after cooking all our meals together the whole week, I told him based on the reviews here I felt confident enough to try it.) The brisket and the Tupelo honey heat sauce are so yummy and the fries are delicious!
The food is delicious and they take extra care to avoid cross contamination. The only thing that has ever made me sick here were the lemons. I guess something contaminated them during prep so beware. There are so many safe choices here it's wonderful.
By far the best place in Fayetteville to eat gluten free. Food is always hot and delicious. My peeps that work there are Awesome and take good care of me. It's a must try!!!
Great place to eat and has several option. I've been multiple times now. Staff even offered to change gloves and equipment as they prepared my food. Also, the French fries have a designated fryer! It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.
I visit this location often, as the food is delicious and they have a dedicated fryer! They have a gluten free menu and most of the staff is knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten free foods. I haven’t experienced any cross contamination, however I have caught them before leaving with my food. When the worker shows you your food before you leave, don’t be afraid to speak up. I always watch closely and the last time, I had to ask for a new meal because the worker was packaging pound cake and then grabbed my fries. They were very understanding and apologetic about this cross contamination situation. I’m just glad I caught it myself. I always get the pulled pork platter and fries… their green beans are great too! Make sure to ask which sauces are gf before you go!
Would be perfect but depends on who takes your order. Most of them care to protect you but someone I just had last night looked miserable and didn't even say gluten free to the staff and then charged me more than I ordered. Didn't warn be about texas bbq having gluten (although I already knew) just make sure you ask them or else you can be glutened.
Love Mission BBQ. It’s a favorite when we travel for how well they handle my multiple food allergies, and so excited they are now in OKC. Fries are the only fried item, so entirely gluten free. I think nearly all the meats were gluten free (photo is pulled chicken).
