Make your reservation today. Mr. A's has a menu filled with amazing GF options and they understand how to keep us safe. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten free dining. He explained that the owners were both GF and it shows from the bread served when arriving to the innovative desserts. They brought out the salad topped with croutons which I immediately handed back and explained that I couldn't eat the croutons. Yes I can - all salads use delicious GF croutons. It's pricy. Soooo worth it. It's a popular place for a reason.
I had a wonderful experience eating here! In my reservation I noted I’m gluten free. My waitress asked if we’d like gluten free bread before I even had the chance to tell her I was gluten free and with every dish I ordered (app, main, dessert) they confirmed it was gluten free when serving it to me. I tried to ask my usual questions about kitchen prep and the waitress quickly explained when it’s an allergy they take specific precautions to remove any chance of cross contamination which made me feel so safe. I had a wonderful experience dining here, and so much of the menu is naturally gluten free! I could eat almost every dessert which is so rare. I even got to try baked Alaska! :)
My lower rating is because they served regular toast after the server assured me they would take precautions for cross contamination with the gf bread. I ate the bread (came with a cheese plate) and even asked the person who brought the bread to us to confirm it was gf and he assured me it was. Halfway through, our regular server came and said that it didn’t look like the gf bread. Got sick, recommend proceeding with caution and double checking with your servers.
I had a great experience at Mister A’s! They had several gluten free options for dinner and they were able to answer my questions about cross contamination. I had a great risotto and mashed potatoes. I did struggle to find a cocktail though, as most of them had flavored alcohols or bitters. I usually google that kind of stuff because I don’t expect the servers to know but I could not find info on the brands they used. Just played it safe and had a glass of wine.
Would not recommend getting anything fried if you are celiac because of the cross contamination risk.
