Mita’s is one of the best restaurants in downtown Cincinnati. It’s Hispanic themed food is tapa sized and most everything on the menu is gluten free or can be adapted. Max, an experienced server, is celiac and gives detailed advice and information on the menu. Reservations are recommended since it’s popular with celiacs and non alike.
Mita deserves its stellar rating. Wonderful food....and safe.
I felt completely comfortable being guided by our server as the three other (gluten eating) people hosting me ordered for the table and the waiter told me what I could eat. With the many things we ordered, all I required that was different was a GF bun for the slider. I think most things are gluten free.
I am a very sensitive Celiac and I had zero response.
Gorgeous moorish style restaurant with soaring ceiling. Waitstaff understood allergy very much. This is a world-class restaurant.
Spanish and Latin American small plates plus paella. The only desserts people who are gluten-free and dairy free can eat is sorbet. Everything was absolutely gorgeous.
I am gluten-free and dairy free. My niece is nut free and free. The servers were able to take excellent care of us.
Our waiter said: Cross contamination is definitely possible, this is not a good place if you have celiac.
Very experienced staff, our server was celiac. huge selection in the menu, and the homemade sorbets and ice creams were to die for.
Mitas is my new favorite restaurant!! Staff was super knowledgeable and basically everything on the menu is either gluten free or can be made gluten free at no extra charge! Even the sliders! They have a dedicated fryer too!!! Highly highly recommend and I can’t wait to go back!!!
Had a fantastic experience at Mita’s. Entire waitstaff and kitchen staff very knowledgeable and conscientious about gluten free options and substitutions. One of the waiters has celiac so everyone very comfortable with helping navigate the menu. We had many great gluten free options, but our absolute favorite was the lamb truffle masa gnocchi. Felt very comfortable dining here and we’re planning to go back soon!
Outstanding food and service. High prices, but worth the stop. No GF menu but the staff is well educated.
Was recommended by a few sources and was not disappointed. Great atmosphere and highly educated staff. Our server (Dani) made sure everything was safe and she double checked even. They have a separate gluten free fryer. Got the empanadas and tacos. Highly recommend both. Was very pleased.
Great options but not well labeled. Some of the servers were well educated on gluten but others were not. One server has celiac and he was most helpful. But those who did not know were able to ask the kitchen staff. They have gluten free bread (not on the menu) that is sooo good! I ordered the charcuterie and they brought me the little gf breads and it was delicious.
Our server Max was the BEST!! Lots of knowledge of cross contamination and was able to modify most dishes. One dish was better than the last.
The food and drinks are incredibly delicious! Chef modified dishes to accommodate gluten free. They have food runners so we ended up with fried items at our table but that was quickly resolved. We will definitely dine here again!
My new favorite restaurant. Almost the entire menu is GF. Very informed about cross contamination. On some days they have a dedicated fryer. If you call in the morning they will sometimes do separate GF oil for you. Fabulous food and service. Ask for Max. He is a great server who works at Mita's and has celiac.
