Delicious food and nice small restaurant. It’s a little dicey for celiacs as they don’t have anything stating what’s GF and won’t change gloves to make your tacos. I stuck to items that were unlikely to be XC…. both the rice and white beans were fabulous!!!

Excellent food. I’ve eaten here many times over the years. Love the half chicken and good selection of sides to choose from! For more gluten free options in Calabash, be sure to check out my blog at gfcarolinas.com.

We have been eating for several years. We have never had any issues with a cross contamination. Food is always great.

We’re so happy this restaurant is successful! My daughter has never gotten sick eating here. There are many delicious and authentic options and the owners are knowledgeable and caring. Love it! Highly recommend.

Spoke with the owner and they were very knowledgeable about what we could eat. My daughter has Celiac and they assured us items she could have were prepared in a separate fryer if fried. We ordered chicken, black beans, plantains (which usually are never safe due to cc in a fryer!) and rice. They said we could order anything except sandwiches or empanadas. We ate here for a casual lunch. Staff was so friendly and food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

SO SO good!! Best chicken I’ve ever had. The dark meat was juicy and had a sweet kind of flavoring. The rice and fries were also delicious and I highly recommend to any celiac. I’ve never eaten food at a restaurant that sat so well with my EDS, IBSD, and celiac stomach!

Tasty food, good service, and safe GF eating. After we ordered, the owner came to our table to double-check what my son's order was, to ensure it was handled properly. There is a dedicated fryer for French fries; the chicken was well-seasoned and juicy. The non-GF food was also quite good.

I have Celiac disease and Crohn's. Needless to say, I must be very careful about what I eat. I went here and absolutely loved it. I had to stop myself from eating because it was so good and I was stuffed. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We love this place! We come here to eat every time we come to Sunset Beach. Susana and Walter are delightful and very knowledgeable about allergies. They have a dedicated fryer so we can eat French fries and fried yuca! Clean, welcoming and very good food!

Super friendly. Lots of choices all great. I had a 1/4 chicken dark with plantains and fries. Super yummy. The other with me loved the other options that are not GF. Very clean restaurant And again super friendly knowledgeable staff.

I had a hard time deciding on a rating. The chicken was the most flavorful delicious chicken I've ever tasted. However, there were a couple issues I had with our meal in general. First of all, we each ordered 1/4 chicken, one each of dark and white. When our meal arrived, you can imagine our surprise when we received 1/2 of a chicken breast with wing attached, and 1/2 a thigh with leg attached, NOT 1/4 of a chicken (and these are small chickens to begin with). Secondly, we ordered a taco and because I mentioned we were gf, I was charged an additional 20% because...gf ingredients are more expensive? It was a corn tortilla. The same corn tortilla served to gluten eaters. The tiny taco, which was hardly worth the $2 they normally charge, was definitely not worth the $3 we were charged. The size of the sides was also quite small (3 yuca fries and 3 plantains); normal sized portions of Cole slaw and French fries. If we were ever to visit this restaurant again, we would just order a whole chicken and take it to go. However, for $15 for just a chicken, we'd be better off buying an organic chicken for $10 and cooking it ourselves. As far as gluten, I'm very sensitive and I didn't react at all, so it seems fairly safe, in that regard.

Absolutely delish! As a tourist in north myrtle beach, I was not finding many safe gf options. The owner of mmm que rico was knowledgeable and accommodating to gf. The chicken tacos were so fresh. Just spectacular

The BEST local tacos!! The corn tortillas are made fresh on site! The only thing is the chicken is NOT gluten free YET. The owner said he is trying to find alternative GF ingredients for the chicken. And everything in the fryer is GF!! The fried Yucca is AWESOME! I will DEFINITELY be coming back.
