About half their items are labeled gluten free and the staff seemed very knowledgeable. They also have gf soy sauce. So I would recommend this place both as a good sushi restaurant and a good place if you’re gluten free.

The food was good. The service was meh. Didn’t get sick from nigiri or Philly roll. I asked for gf soy sauce which they provided and told them I needed to be gf.

My family used to eat here all the time and we’ve never had a problem with 2/4 of us being celiac. We always had no problems and the sushi was great! We never tried tempura and only really ate the veggie rolls but never had a problem.

I asked them if they used the contaminated rice vinegar for their sushi rice and the answer was an emphatic NO. They have a variety of items to pick that are GF. We had a great experience. We ate on the outside back patio so I felt very safe.

Mobo uses a sushi rice vinegar that has wheat in it. I used to be able to get around this by substituting steamed rice in my rolls instead of sushi rice, but they add the vinegar to their steamed rice now. They also charge extra to make a roll "gluten free".
