The takeaway side told my girlfriend that the banh mi was gluten free like four times in a row, so she ordered it and ate a bite (then immediately realized it must have gluten on account of being a good crusty pully baguette) and now she's sick during a pub tour we're supposed to be on. She gave it three stars but I think that's crazy because that's certainly a one-star "gluten free experience".
The woman behind the counter apologized and said her manager told her to say everything was gluten free.
I don't care if your other food is extremely Celiac safe if I can't trust your staff to communicate about gluten.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here which was partly my fault and partly the fault of the woman at the cashier for take away. She informed me everything was gluten free except for a certain sauce they use. I was excited, but wary since they didn’t list GF for the bahn mi so I asked several more times if she was sure that everything still included my bahn mi. She said yes after several attempts to clarify so I decided to just trust it. Then I ate a piece and didn’t feel right about that bread so I went to speak with someone from their main restaurant section. They informed me that the bread was not actually gluten free and that this woman was misinformed. Luckily I didn’t eat much, but I asked for a refund for the mixup and they gave it to me with a little bit of trouble figuring out how. It’s my last day in London so I’m sad this is how I’m ending it, but I also should have just stuck to the menu which lists gluten free for pretty much everything else. So yeah, should have listened to my gut, but I feel like I was influenced to believe they had gluten free bread which they did not. Three stars because I do believe their other stuff is probably fine.
