Only gluten free cannoli I found in the north end area!
A little pricey ($7 per cannoli) but to me, that was worth it! Went back a few more times on our trip. They knew to box mine separate from my husbands regular cannoli

Cash only business, and a single cannoli costs about $6. It was good, but my homemade ones are much better. 😉 If you have missed cannolis and don't bake your own, these address a good choice.
absolutely delicious gluten free cannoli!
So many choices!!! They all looked great. I have Celiac so I got the gf cannoli and a gf cookie. Both were great. They keep the gf cannoli shells in a separate container and only fill after ordering. For gf the only option for filling is ricotta cheese- it was great!
Yes
Gluten free cannolis! Made by a staff person with celiac so they’re made carefully. The staff are a little brusque and it’s cash only. But I went back the next day because the cannolis (with choc chip) were super!!
Yes
Absolutely delicious GF cannoli, just like I remembered from years ago in North Boston! Was told that the bakery owner has celiac and makes all gluten free items personally so insure no contamination. Clerk said the owner eats these herself, as proof of her confidence: but of course she would because they are just wonderful. I also bought a lemon poppyseed muffin (which feels soft and moist) that I’m looking forward to for tomorrow’s breakfast!
Gluten free cannolis! All of the gluten free pastries are kept separate from the rest of their products.
NOT celiac friendly, they said. They said it's all cross-contaminated so I didn't get a Cannoli. Seems like a nice Bakery though.
No
The gluten free cannoli was good.
Yes
Over rated in my opinion. The GF cannoli was $6, so I opted for the moon pie (the only other option I believe). It was brought out in a plastic bag on a plate, -- very unappealing. It was somewhat dry and seemed to smell like insecticide. Blech. There were many things like the nougat and other confections that could easily have been GF, but alas, there wasn't much to choose from. I would recommend going to the Thinking Cup a few doors down, instead, which was tasty, reasonably priced, and had a much better atmosphere.
I haven’t had a cannoli in almost 4 years. It was so good to have a crunchy sweet shell and still be given the option of what filling and toppings I would like on it. I got a class cannoli with traditional ricotta filling and chocolate chips, and it was delicious! Highly recommend😋
So amazing to be able to have a cannoli again! It was scrumptious! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly! Can’t wait to try again!
Desserts are kept separately and wrapped. Here you will find Whoopie Pies, cookies and yes, cannoli. The ricotta filling is gf and is honestly the best anyway. Server immediately put on gloves and packaged the treats separated from their gluten counterparts. My son is eleven, we’ve been there several times and have never been glutened. Be ready for a line— this place is popular!

Gluten free cannoli was delicious! So glad I tried it! Staff seemed knowledgeable!
So happy to find a GF cannoli in the north end and it was scrumptious! The cannoli are stored in a separate glass jar and filled right away.
Yes
I went back twice while visiting in Boston for the GF cannoli. They keep the shells in a separate jar to prevent cross contamination, and then fill them to order. Sweet, creamy, crispy deliciousness! There were a couple of other “safe” treats individually wrapped and kept separate from the other bakery items. Worth the stop!
Yes
Good cannoli. Nice to be able to get a dessert with everyone else. They have muffins, whoopie pies, cookies and cannolis
They have the best gluten free cannolis. The shells are in a jar. The person waiting on you changes gloves, takes the shell to the back to fill. I have gotten them here on multiple occasions and have had no Celiac side effects.
Yes
Just like the Boston Modern Pastry, but in Medford!
Yes
Good GF cannoli. It doesn’t taste like a regular one. But since I can’t have the regular one, this hit the spot. Thanks.
My 10 year old son (celiac) was able to have his 1st Canoli! He loved it. My 7 year old son (celiac) got a gluten free Whoopi pie. They both LOVED their dessert. 2 gf canoli, 1 gf Whoopi pie, 1 chocolate pb egg (not gf) $19. Well worth it for my kids to feel like everyone else! No reactions from either boy who are both celiac and very sensitive.
Cannoli was great and same size as regular ones. Not sure if there was an up charge. Cash only!
Wonderful gluten free cannoli!
Yes
Cannolis were amazing. They were very knowledgeable about celiac. They said they are always working on new gf products. Everything was amazing. They have non-celiac employees try the products to make sure they taste as good as the non-gf products. They were amazing.
Yes
I LOVE their gluten free cannoli, which are made off-site by the owner's daughter so as not to cross contaminate. The gluten free products are stored separately in a clearly labeled case. The only other gluten free item I have tried there was a lemon poppy seed muffin which was delicious. Also they have excellent iced cappuccino.
Yes
They have been out of cannolli shells when I’ve gone, their Whoopie Pies are good!
Cannoli was delicious...no issues.
The were very helpful to us and the cannoli was very good and they said coming out with new gf products every day and working on a cupcake
Yes
Gluten Free cannoli was delicious as were whoopee pies. Pastries are baked in a separate GF facility and kept in a separate case away from regular pastries. Worker washed his hands and put on gloves before he served us. Also NIMA texted both and were gluten free.
So happy to find a GF cannoli! Hasn’t half bad either
I have gotten their gluten free whoopie pies and cookies on several occasions. Always delicious, never gotten me sick. The line is shorter and moves faster than Mike's, but it is cash only.
Yes
I have celiac and had no reaction the 3 times I’ve been. So amazing to have a cannoli again. Baked goods were a main concern when I was diagnosed. Be sure to tell them you have celiac when they pipe the cannolis. Also there’s a risk of contamination so ask for fresh toppings!
Yes
Tried the gf cannolli after reading other reviews of it being celiac safe. The taste was ok at best and I was very ill after eating it.
No
Awesome gluten free cannoli. The waitress was knowledgeable about which fillings and toppings were safe from cross contamination. Nice to have a place for gluten and non gluten to enjoy a pastry together.
Yes
Fabulous. GF muffins and cannolis. Had steak and egg breakfast and it was delicious. Really friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. The cannoli is delightful.
Yes
Not many places you can find gluten free cannoli. The ricotta...omg! It was delicious. A little speedy $5.95 for one small one but I'd pay again for it😋. Note- cash only
Cannoli was pretty good. Not many GF options
Very few options here
So awesome to have a dedicated sealed case for the gluten free baked goods. My daughter loved the cookies. Make it a stop on your Boston "to do" list!!
Yes
where else can you get a celiac friendly gluten free csnnoli? it's not a dedicated bakery, so I don't expect a lot of options. Great Black and White cookies too!
Amazing gluten free cannoli! Highly recommend!
Fucking gluten free cannoli! Kept in a separate container from gluten. Pricey sure, but so delicious.
Yes
The cannolie was excellent but very small. I was happy to even have a gluten free option so I was thrilled. As the comments stated above, not many choices. Also, thank goodness I double-checked ( as I always do), that it was gluten free... she must not have heard me and I almost bought a regular one. She immediately corrected the mistake. 3 stars because there were only 2 choices.
Gluten free cannoli! Duh you have to come here. Only the ricotta and chocolate chips are gluten free friendly options for toppings. The pistachios and almonds are not GF.
They have the gluten free items on the counter near the main registers separate from everything else.
Delicious!
Yes
Gluten free cannoli delicious. Made to order. Not a lot of gf options.
Yes
Limited GF options--thus a 2 star overall rating.
Had their ricotta cannoli. It was ok, I'd say 3 stars. But I am not much of a cannoli person. However, Modern Pastry's cannoli is better than the cannolis I've had at other places (Mike's pastry, included). Would I have it again? Yes.
gluten free cannoli freshly packed. worth waiting in line for!
Yes
When gf options are available there are delicious! Love being able to indulge in a cannoli, whoopie pie, or muffin. The almond muffin is my favorite.
