Such a wonderful spot in Gravenhurst! Haven’t had fish and chips since my celiac diagnosis. The Owner is very knowledge about celiac and has a separate fryer for frenchies and GF battered fish. She’s also super kind - classic mom and pop shop 😊

Best place to get gluten free fish and chips!!! I go every time I am in Gravenhurst ! So yummy & we’ll prepared for a celiac tummy! By boyfriend doesn’t even notice the difference who isn’t celiac! So thankful they offer this!

It was a wonderful experience at Momma’s. They were really careful and very knowledgeable. I was a little bit skeptical at first, but I am glad I went.

This place is the epitome of a small town greasy spoon, but it is so good! They offer gluten free fish, fries and even poutine. They are very knowledgeable about Celiac. We have been twice now, and the place is constantly filling orders! We went tonight and over half of the orders were gluten free, so it’s clearly a well know and trusted place to eat. My kids loved it too! The prices are incredibly reasonable ($10.95 for 1 piece of fish with fries, $14.95 for 2 pieces of fish with fries. Add $1.25/piece for gluten free). Portion size was massive (could only finish 1 piece + half my poutine). Kids meals are $7.50 and include a drink, fries, main and dessert. Don’t be fooled by the decor, just enjoy the food!

This restaurant has a dedicated gluten free fryer. I had battered haddock and poutine. The service was pretty good. Very friendly, chatty. During winter season be sure to call ahead for a take out order as it will take some extra time.

Food was delicious and celiac safe. My only issue was that the restaurant wasn’t clean (windows, tabletops etc need a scrub)

I was a little skeptical at first - this was my first time eating out since my diagnosis. It was great, dedicated fryer +tongs - my plate came out separately (and first). They showed me the ingredients of the tartar sauce. We had a great experience overall. And I had no reaction.

I have Celiac disease and so far never had issues here. The owner has a friend who is Celiac and she is aware of cross contamination. She has a dedicated gluten free fryer and fresh cut fries! The fish is amazing!
Dedicated fryer for gluten free fish, fries and oniin rings!
What a great little gem passing through from cottage country with amazing GF fish & chips cooked in a dedicated GF fryer. The cook even made fresh onion rings with the GF batter and they were delicious. They use Kraft tarter sauce. The place could use some sprucing up, but don’t let that stop you from checking them out. Well worth the visit!!

Hubby and I just had gluten free fish and chips here and they were awesome! They were extremely knowledgeable about being a dedicated facility. We also had the gluten free chocolate cake. We were ecstatic about our meal. The fish was fresh and the batter was light. They also have a dedicated fryer for gluten free. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Dedicated fryer. Gluten free batter is good if not better than the gluten batter. Family run. Very friendly. Kid friendly.

Often in small-town's it is not easy to find gluten-free options. Today we were driving by and the sign out front caught my attention and since I haven't had good fish and chips in over year we couldn't resist. The building is old, but the owner is quite lovely and took a great deal of time to explain to me how they came up with the recipe for the batter, and how they prepare it using separate fryers. They even have a separate fryer for the french fries which is also fantastic. I would not have been able to tell the difference between traditional batter and her gluten-free one. It was absolutely delicious. We even had a choice of fish because they hand batter and prepare the fish fresh. We had a choice of pickerel, perch, halibut, & haddock.
Amazing !! Very knowledgeable great fish and chips !
