Mona's Burgers & Shakes

Since they have a GF bun listed on their website I figured I'd call to make sure the rest of their basic/classic burger is GF just to be on the safe side and to gauge their GF awareness.

The lady who answered said, "just the bun is gluten-free, nothing else. But, we use high-quality meat". Clearly, I sensed that she doesn't understand what gluten is so I asked her to check with the kitchen. She transferred me to the manager who said the same thing: that only the bun is GF. I then asked, out of curiosity: "If only the bun is GF, does that mean that your tomatoes have gluten in them?" to which the answer was - Yes, I think so.

Obviously, this place has zero awareness. This would not be a problem generally, however, the fact that they indicate the availability of a "gluten free bun" on their menu makes it seem as if could be a safe place.

Obviously, I did not end up eating there, and the above experience is based only on the phone call. So I could not attest to the taste/quality of the food.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?
