The staff seemed very knowledgeable, and helpful! They don't have a dedicated grill or fryer, but were able to provide a cleaned section of the grill to avoid cross contamination. Plus the pancakes were fluffy and delicious!

Knowledgeable staff. They have gf bread and very delicious pancakes and can make virtually the whole menu gf, including French toast. Good local option, and great coffee

For Moon’s cafe we found out that one of the restaurant owners has a gluten allergy so the restaurant staff has gone through some great training on food allergies and cross contamination. 👍
Always amazing foods with TONS of GF options including pancakes and gf French toast that is done in its own batter/sauce so there isn’t that cross contamination! We have eaten here many times and both myself and my daughter have had no problems💗

Moon's offers gluten free pancakes and french toast, and our waiter was knowledgeable about the ingredients. We were told the French toast uses Udi GF bread, plus their french toast toppings, etc. However, we got the pancakes and they were SO GOOD. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had and they were gluten free!! All of the food was delicious, the service was great, and the ambiance was perfect for a fun Sunday brunch spot! I would definitely recommend going here, you'll get good, safe food and have a good time!

Daughter who is celiac did they stuffed French toast. The waitress was knowledgeable, but we had to ask if they will clean the grill between toasting breads. I don't think they would have, had we not asked. She did not get sick, and enjoyed the dish. So five star for food, just wish they had a set protocol in place.

I ordered a simple breakfast.
It's great to have an old Boise breakfast spot respect my food sensitivities.

This place is a hidden gem! I got brunch here and ordered an omelet with a gf pancake. The waitress assured me my food was celiac safe, and I did not get sick from it. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the diner itself is really cute.

Moon’s has the best gluten free pancakes we’ve been able to find in Boise. My wife gets them with blueberries and says they are very good. They also have delicious hash browns. I can’t speak to cross-contamination other reviewers mentioned as my wife isn’t coeliac, but would highly recommend this place otherwise.

Unfortunately I googled gf breakfast places near me and didn’t look at this app. Ordered pancakes and while the ingredients may have been gf, their process was not. Issues within 2 hours.

Loved this place! A staff member of theirs has Celiac and a few years back she taught them how to be celiac safe in the kitchen. Really lovely staff, delicious milkshakes made with fresh fruit! They can do gluten free french toast, pancakes, eggs Benedict, etc!
Yes
We went here 2 days in a row because it was so delicious and they had amazing reviews. My husband and his sister have major celiac and I can guarantee this place got both of them very sick. It sucks because I thought we had found a safe diner in Boise for us to get breakfast at.
No
Knowledgeable staff but the meals were definitely NOT gluten free. Not safe for Celiac. My kids ate there to try it out before we ate there, because as older people living with Celiac, our reactions are pretty bad. Well, sadly our kids with Celiac reacted badly, with our daughter losing 2 days of work thanks to brain fog and other awful glutening symptoms.

We loved our stop here!!! California Beni was awesome and we love restaurants that serve Pepsi!!!

Two employees have Celiac. Super careful. Prices very reasonable. The lemon cream filled French Toast with homemade raspberry topping was indescribably delicious!!! Great pancakes too! They have lots of options for other meals as well.

They have the best gluten free pancakes anywhere. I go there every Saturday morning.
First time at this great restaurant in downtown Boise. Our server (Rachel) is also has to be gluten free. Food and service were great. We will go back.

Excellent service, loved the omelet (even swapped out the toast and gave a few options for substitutes). Also had the blueberry gluten free pancacks and they were good too.
Delicious food! Servers are nice and take precautions when preparing gf food.
The staff was wonderful here! Not only did they have the best gluten free pancakes for my son, but they made delicious gluten, dairy and soy free French Toast for my daughter. Friendly welcoming staff and wonderful food in a great atmosphere, couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Yum! I had GF pancakes and an omelet. Fabulous!
The server has celiac. I felt very safe eating here. They have a fabulous selection of burgers and sandwiches as well. They have gf buns and bread!

Ate here a few times and never felt sick. Really friendly place.
Very good food! One of the servers has Celiac and helped train all the staff. Our server was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The gf pancake was fluffy and tasty!

Moon's has GF pancakes and they are really good! I'm not talking about the kind of GF pancakes you resign yourself to when you know you can't have "real" pancakes. These were legitimately tasty pancakes. Our waitress knew what she was doing and even told us they could make French toast for us with their gluten free bread. I'll visit this place every time I make it back to Boise.
