The food is fair but ultimately not celiac safe. The sauces are NOT gluten free. While the ingredients don't alert to gluten, I have a gluten tester and every sauce came up positive. I'm betting its the worcestershire.
So at first glance this place looks great! The menu is full of GF items. They even have GF fried pickles and French fries! BUT I asked and all fried items are fried in a contaminated fryer. Sigh. So even that fried chicken sandwich that’s made with cornmeal isn’t gf. So I ordered the pulled pork on a GF bun and a side of beans. The cole slaw that comes with it is NOT marked GF. The guy asked the kitchen and came back and said the vinegar-based slaw isn’t gf but the creamy one was. So don’t trust anything on the menu without verifying.
I was super uncomfortable eating here, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. The receipt didn’t have my sandwich flagged as an allergy OR specify a gf bun, but it did come to my table with one.
I’ll update here if i have a reaction, but taste-wise, I won’t be back. The pickles are good, and the beans are okay, but the pork, Cole slaw, and the sauce all lacked flavor. They need a serious addition of salt and pepper. My husband ordered the brisket and said it was delicious and not at all flavorless like my pulled pork was.
Careful and will change gloves. Offers gluten free buns. Everything is fried in masa flour the only gluten containing items in house are the buns and Mac&Cheese.
Almost the entire menu is gluten free and it is all very tasty. All sauces are gluten free as well.
