Excellent dinner!! Everything except for two items on the menu are gluten free or offered with gluten free bread or an alternative. Family all had burgers with gluten free bread and fries. They looked amazing and the family all loved them. They have dedicated fryers and the fries were delicious. I ordered the roast chicken, cheddar grits and broccoli. Yum! We will be back!! Many options and I felt great after!

Wow! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free. They use rice flour and have dedicated fryers. I haven’t had fried green tomatoes in years and they were amazing!!! We were camping at Hunting Island State Park and came here after reviews. It is a gated community. They do take reservations, but stop at 4pm for the day. Although they take walk ins. Casual atmosphere and delicious food. We will make this a priority stop when we visit the area. Everything was fresh and delicious. They even arrive GF beer!!!

Almost everything is gluten free. There is only a small paragraph about it on the back side of the menu so I had no idea until I said that I had an allergy. The waitress told me that almost everything was gluten free. Seeing pasta and pizza on the menu I assumed she didn't know what she was talking about. But we came back again and got a different waitress and she explained a little better that yes almost everything is gluten free!!! They have river views and a playground for the kids. And the prices are reasonable.

We only use rice and corn flour, our entire menu is almost completely gluten free (excluding hush puppies) and options for gluten free bread and pasta. Feel safe knowing you can enjoy fried foods, deserts, seafood and pasta!
We were on vacation, celebrating our daughter's 23rd birthday, and heard about Morgan River Grill. We made reservations and headed out. Getting through the gate is not an issue at All. Four of us are gf due to celiac, and are very cautious. We talked with the sweet waitress and the chef about what we wanted, and every bit that came to our table was safe for us all to eat. It was amazing. Everything was perfect. Flavorful, unique, the fried food was not greasy. Perfect.

Excellent choice for Celiacs, but be warned. Restaurant is located in a private gated community. Depending on the guard on duty, you may be refused entry. It’s happened to us now on a couple lunch-time occasions, today being our proverbial last straw. Yes, this was not our first visit & we told the guard we were there to eat at the Restaurant which is supposed to be open to the public, yes we surrendered our photo licenses for security copies, but again we were refused entry for lunch. No rhyme, no reason. We double checked that they were open before making the drive. As local retirees we tried today to bring our adult children visiting from out of state for a fun safe celebratory lunch & we’re dressed up for the occasion. Guard was not having it. He flatly refused to let us in, and was extremely rude. On occasions where we were successfully admitted, the Morgan River Grill is nice, and menu is a Celiac dream, the food is usually good, but what a hassle. Wish they had selected a location in a more welcoming place. I recommend trying their sister restaurant Madison’s located in Port Royal instead, food if virtually the same & you are never treated like a criminal for trying to support a local restaurant.
